Faktor 13 South Chance Avenue Icecliff, Maine Host's Request: Due to my declining health, which has become worse in recent years, I might not be able to visit with you for any great length of time. However, one grave matter remains at hand: the disposal of my vast fortune. If you can decipher the one criterion to inherit it, you will do so at the stroke of midnight. Are you a gambler? What are you willing to wager to acquire the vast sum of ten million dollars? This is a game, and a competition. May the best man (or woman) win! Blue eyes. Very pale from long hours spent indoors amid the chilly Maine climate. Voluptuous. She'd be called a "vamp" if she weren't so smart. Surprisingly, she's single. GREATEST FOIBLE: During her last match against Lucretia Claiborne, the best amateur player in Maine--male or female--Shakhmaty cheated to win. She "castled", or switched places with her king and rook, while she was in check. Lucretia let her make the move, unbeknownst to officials, if Shakhmaty would pay...and pay...and pay...after the match was over. Basically, Lucretia is blackmailing her, and Shakhmaty is almost out of money. Name: Jacob Reynolds Gender: Male Age: 30 Occupation: Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Appearance: Short brown hair that never appears washed gives the naval officer an unkempt appearance, but a sharp wit and a caustic tongue belies the stereotype. Sharp green eyes with with a knack for observation make Mr. Reynolds one to be reckoned with. Greatest Foible: Edicts passed down from father to son have bound Mr. Reynolds by the ways of honor and chivalry. Upon leaving home, and entering the world, his morals were berated constantly by the temptations of society. Over a decade away from home has somewhat warped his ideas on behavior, but he still has room in his regrettably closed heart for honor. Romantic Interests: None that he'd care to mention. People that he was talking about, like murders that he had witnessed or petty crimes, have started making threats on his life. So ever since he has been a very guarded and lonesome individual. Wolfgang also has a little bit of English in his blood, but not enough to note, as he has always embraced the military effeciency of his Prussian ancestors...even in his buisness as the Bank's agressive negotiator. Occupation Technically a mercenary, but calls himself an enforcer, as that is technically what he does for his Father's bank. The legitamacy of his work is....questionable to say the least. Appearance: He has black hair with a line of silver that runs through the sides of his hair. He has blue eyes and stands tall at 6'5,' and is quite muscular, as his job demands that he keeps himself in better then top-physical shape. His face is comprised of sharp features, and his visage is comparable to that of Falcon's gaze, which in itself intimidates any possible enemies. Greatest Foible: Wolfgang has never let an assignment go undone, and was extremely good at what he did, leaving no witnesses with the the authorities to suspect his employers methods. But before he was sent to discuss an agreement of mutual benefit with the illustrious Benjamin Faktor, he had not been as exact in his work, allowing someone to live....and now, he thinks the authorities may actually be able to find out who he is, and what he does, which could potentially bring the bank collapsing down upon him, and everyone else. Romantic Interests: He rather likes the opposite sex, but hasn't really had much time to date any particular woman, as his job demanded that he stay on the move without making any major relationships with anyone. RSVP: NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION AT FAKTOR MANSION NAME: Origen "Higz" Kobald-Gewerk GENDER: Male AGE: 52 DESCENT: Three-quarters German, One-quarter Greek OCCUPATION: Majordomo/Castellan APPEARANCE: Light speckled brown hair, with patches of grey and white throughout, suggesting his age; long, cut to shoulder-blade length, well kept, pushed behind the ears, and tied in a low knot to help keep hair from falling from behind his ears, or even in his face. Has a short forester's beard (which is basically a braided beard), and often has five-o'-clock shadow, mostly beyond his desired control due to the fast rate at which his hair grows. Has Dark blue eyes. Skin is an olive color, suggesting his Greek descent and time spent out in the Mediterranean sun. Is well built and very, VERY robust for his age, suggesting an active and quite a healthy lifestyle. Wears the common garbs of a servant or butler, swallow-tale jacket, white silk gloves and all, excluding his shoes, which are actually thick leather boots, not-so-common with servants and butlers. Has shockingly bright grey eyes, that are almost whitish in appearance. Has a very light natural tan due to her Egyptian mother. She moved to Maine six years ago to get away from her drab life in Europe, and to gather knowledge for her art in a foreign place, meaning the States, since her Father wouldn't let her go anywhere else, thus her appearance is much lighter than what it used to be, but quite a bit darker than the cold climate norm. Quite beautiful (including all the "amenities" that apply), and 'dainty', because of her youth; she's considered by most a genius in her prime, whispered by those few who know her as quite insane. She's single, seeing as no suitor has ever gathered her attention long enough to even make her listen, let alone be happy, laugh, or even smile. Her only real friend, and the only male to ever compete with her own personality and intellect, and to ever garner her attention, is her Majordomo, Higz, who has known her since she was eight, and cared for her since she was twelve (when she was first courted by someone - yep, that young). GREATEST FOIBLE: Is cynical, and quite impish, she tends to ramble about things irrelevant to the subject at hand, and can be very flirtatious. Has a sparkling intellect, and a masterful etiquette often overlooked due to her childishness, and cruelty. She's almost never seen angry, and often has a cheerful and bright personality, which hides a more piteous, depressive, and even violent alter-ego. Is caught up in old lore and legend, and is interested in mythology from around the world, which often times has lead her to do stupid things, and into dangerous situations, thus the need for her to have a Majordomo. ROMANTIC INTERESTS: None, but isn't shy with ANYONE. Hope these two are acceptable.......I hope for a lot of things I guess, like a girlfriend...
