Samnmax221
Anime is a prime example of why two nukes just wasn't enough A state representative says nothing that I haven't said a number of times before and upsets a bunch of crybabies. Here's a warning to all politicians not to be real people ever again. Link
Darth Avlectus
Ok, fine you're not an anime fan, Mr Levasseur. WE GET IT. Now, it's understandable to ridicule anime for what it specifically is. I get that... However, I think what he said is generally disrespectful towards the entirety of the Japanese people as a whole, not just specifically the Anime fans. It is rather irritating and yet amusing. So, Sam, with all due respect, I'm not following: What have you said exactly? BTW my Kenpo sensei told me about this (Don't worry, she's Hawaiian American, and just a *little* japanese) earlier today. She was also quite amused. Samnmax221
Two bombs weren't enough, the bomb made them super smart and all they want to do is build sex robots, etc...
Darth Avlectus
Lolwut? ...*facepalm* Nevermind. *shrug* Sorry I asked. Though despite their wants...the japanese have already been beaten to the punch for making sexaroids. Discussion here: http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=203048 I thought they were smart b/c of their all-or-nothing work ethic combined with their uncanny ability to remake and refine? Hm. We have a bunch of miniature smart-hulks on an island. EDIT: Oh wai-- I get it...'we should have bombed them again bc all we did was make them super smart and horny'. Tommycat
Not exactly a smart thing for a rep to say. He probably just lost the 18-24 male vote. as well as reopening some fairly old wounds.
Totenkopf
Frankly, I doubt he lost much of the youth vote over the otherwise foolish comment (esp given that pols have higher profiles than the rest of us). One thing for the "average" person to say or write (and people probably ought to watch what they write on things like facebook, b/c a lot of people---esp young ones---leave a lot of ungaurded comments, or even pics, on those sites that will bite 'em in the ass later on), but someone in the spotlight should be even more circumspect. jonathan7
As well as reopening some fairly old wounds. They started it... Shame her Imperial Majesty's Navy didn't stop the Japanese expansion before it started.
Samnmax221
Really I'm waiting for Sarah Palin to jump out and call him a racist to distract everyone from all the ****ed up stuff that's going on.
