Cyborg Ninja
Ebon Hawk Wrath had stopped attacking Andorra and turned to see if Kalla was alright. He didn't know what had just happened but it confused him a little. Before he knew it they were 20 minutes from Geonosis and Kalla and Tonatius had left to go into the turrets. Feeling rather useless, and his general hatred of ships he decided to get himself ready for when they did touch down on the surface.
JediMaster12
Jun-la noticed Wrath's discomfort and said, "The garage is a good place. It is close to the exit ramp." She then went towards the cockpit passing by the turrets. She called up, "She may be old but she's well cared for." Tonatius heard it and laughed a bit. He said to Kalla over his headset, "Lady Jun-la always knows what's on people's minds when it comes to her ship." It was then Matton's voice came over the comm, Approaching Geonosis. Heavy blockade. Be ready for fighters. ********** Tavaryn brought the ship out of hyperspace and the rush of seeing the blockade was enough to send a rookie's senses into overdrive. He remained calm though as he enacted the ship's cloaking mechanism. With luck they would be able to sneak onto the planet with minimal detection. He commed the Hawk, "Arrived at Geonosis on approach. Suggest you land at sent coordinates." He then transmitted the coordinates that he came up with. Tysyacha
Andorra, seeing that Wrath had suddenly left, took a few more practice swings with Chetyrnadtsat', preparing for battle. What would become of her, of Tonatius, of Kalla, of Wrath and Lenatha? Would they prevail, or become victims of whatever agent was causing the vivinecrosis? She was terrified of the thought. She also wished she would have perfected the art of using a blaster instead of a vibroblade, so she could hit the infected creatures at a distance rather than at such a close range that she could smell their breath, but all was not lost. She smiled placidly, closed her eyes, and meditated for a brief moment.
Shana
Lenatha stopped firing when she noticed that Wrath had left. She looked over at Andorra, who seemed deep in thought. Lenatha reached to touch her, but stopped her hand for a moment and withdrew it. She did not want to bother her but she did want to hear what was in her mind. So she simply put on her best smile and looked at Andorra. "Is everything ok?", Lenatha asked her simply.
Alkonium
Ebon Hawk "Then I meant no offense." Kalla jokingly replied, watching as the ship came out of hyperspace. She could tell already that the battle was costly for both sides. The space above Geonosis was already littered with debris originating from Republic and Imperial ships alike. She soon spotted two very familiar ships. "It's the Silver Eagle. We should try to help them out on our way down. Silver Eagle Iyav was scrambling to find a way to deal with the squadron of TIE defenders on his tail, when he pulled up the remote turret controls. Turning the autopilot on, he opened fire on the TIE's. The Silver Eagle's cannons packed enough of a punch to take out most of their shields, but it still wouldn't be easy to destroy the fighters themselves. However, as he pounded on the fighters, they were soon finished off by the turrets from the Ebon Hawk, and Komad's X-38. "Thanks for the assistance!" Iyav transmitted to the Ebon Hawk. "Any time!" Kalla called out to her 'stepfather'. He wasn't actually her father's husband, but she figured he was close enough.
JediMaster12
Matton saw the blockade and maneuvered as best as he could. He then received a transmission. Recognizing Tavaryn's signal he replied, "Hawk here." Arrived at Geonosis on approach. Suggest you land at sent coordinates. Matton took a look at the coordinates and almost gave a low whistle. It would be tricky trying to avoid the blockade but hell if anything the Hawk was the fastest ship there was. He called Komad, "Kaltas, I have the coordinates form Tavaryn. It'll be a narrow run but the asteroid belt will provide cover to make a run to the planet."
Tysyacha
Andorra nodded. "I just want to make sure I'll be completely prepared for the battle ahead," she replied. "I've never fought enemies who are literally the walking dead. Also, aside from lightsabers, I've never wielded such a hot blade in my life." She shook her head. "I'm not certain I'll be able to pull my own weight."
Shana
Lenatha smiled at Andorra and placed her hand gently on her shoulder. "Don't worry Andorra, you've got friends and you got me to look out for you as well. But I believe in you. As long as you also believe in yourself and do your best, you'll be fine. You'll see", Lenatha said.
Master_Archon
"Two weeks ago, the Republic lost all contact with the RSS Cygnus. When it turned up again, it was ravaged by an infection which reduced most of the crew to what could best be described as zombies. You can see why we want more information." The Jedi explained. Vector leaned forward and spoke up, "I'll tell you all you want to know if you tell me what your plans are for me, and if I might be able to bargain for my own freedom." Vector was not about to simply blather on about the 'Nex Venators' and their 'involvement' with the Sith and their plans if it meant that he'd be incarcerated, or even terminated in the end; though he knew the Jedi were not likely to do executions and such, one could never be too cautious, and Vector was all about caution. Alkonium
Jedi Temple, Medical Wing "It's a deal. If you assist us, you'll be free to go once rehabilitation is complete." Kol explained. Above Geonosis "Understood, we'll meet you on the surface with the New Imperials have been dealt with up here." Komad sent to the Ebon Hawk, along with confirmation from the Silver Eagle. Master_Archon
"It's a deal. If you assist us, you'll be free to go once rehabilitation is complete." The Jedi spun off, almost too eagerly for Vector's taste and liking. He didn't like the idea of 'rehabilitation', he was too distrusting of anyone to believe in something so simple, after all, his last rehab' had him so tormented in so many different ways, he'd literally come to lack the ability to blink (thus the eye covers). But the offer was out there, and Vector didn't know how easily this Jedi would change his mind, considering the speed at which he delegated an offer he could turn around and have Vector detained or killed at the drop of a hat, if the Jedi felt he wanted to change face that fast. Vector would have to accept what he'd been given, even though it wasn't that bad to begin with, the memories of his torture were too fresh for him, even if the offer was giving him exactly what he wanted, it would still be a difficulty to step outside of his subconscious little mental box. "I...See. That gives me what I want, but you still didn't answer me about what you had planned for me," he said hesitantly, but gave in to the offer regardless. "Fine then, a deal it is, but I don't want any tricks, Jedi."
JediMaster12
"Belina and the fleet can handle it," Matton replied. "We need to be on the surface if this is to work." ********** Tavaryn called back, "Making a break for the planet. Alriana, feel like covering our tail with the guns?" ********** The flash was blinding but Tonatius didn't lose his concentration. They were to provide cover as teh ship wove its way between the asteroids. "Great the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1. Great odds." Chevron 7 locke
"Making a break for the planet. Alriana, feel like covering our tail with the guns?" "I'll get right on it." Alriana called out as she went to the turrent station and brought it online. She quickly began targeting the numerous fighters that were in the skies above Geonosis. Ackbar Garja jumped back as another one of the consoles on the bridge of the Ackbar burst into flames. He turned to the helmsman. "Turn to starboard. Right now our port shields are nearly gone while we still have around fifty percent left on the starboard side. It might buy us some time!" "Aye sir!" Imperial Pride Even as the battle above Geonosis continued Beroc was looking down at the surface. This could be the final opportunity to finally get rid of the Sith menace once and for all. This could be my only chance. "Target the area where the Dark Lord has landed and then fire." He ordered.
Alkonium
Geonosis Darth Pestilus had been monitoring activity on the bridge of the Imperial Pride since he had left the hangar, and decided to transmit back upon hearing Beroc's latest order. "I think not, Beroc. I know we've both been plotting against one another for some time, but I had to let you make the first move. I can only hope your successor won't make the same mistake." He replied, setting off countless strategically placed canisters of vivinecrosis gas throughout the Imperial Pride Above Geonosis "The fleet is in trouble, and Belina is my commanding officer." Iyav sent back to the Ebon Hawk. "Hold on, the New Imperial Command Ship is stopping its attack. According to scans, damage to the engines aside, it's fine, but they're losing life signs all over. Are the New Imperials that mad? They're willing to infect their own ships?" Komad asked. "Doesn't matter. What matter is that it'll give the Republic the edge it needs." Iyav pointed out. "We'll meet you on the surface."
Cyborg Ninja
Xan couldn't help but laugh at what Pestilus just did. He wasn't laughing at Pestilus, only a fool would do that. He was laughing because Beroc thought he was actually going to kill them. At the same time his brain told him to keep an eye out for Pestilus. Though for now Pestilus needed him and he could rest a bit easier knowing that. "Well its a good thing I ask for payment before I take a mission. So are our guests almost here?" he asked not wanting to use the Force to find out.
JediMaster12
Tavaryn made a break for the planet. He wove in and about the asteroids to make following him be difficult. His sensors flashed and he called over the comm, Four fighters coming in on my six. Haruka had followed the Jedi into the turrets and climbed down into the bottom turret. When he heard the call, he charged up the guns. He asked, "You ready for this Jedi?" *********** The skies above were full of lasers blasting as Matton maneuvered the Ebon Hawk. Jun-la was co-piloting and watching their six for enemy fighters leaving him to pay attention to the flying. Jun-la meticulously kept the scans going, not letting the flashes of light bother her. A shrill beep occurred and she said over the comm, Fighters coming in. Here they come. Roger. Tonatius swiveled his guns around and peered through the sights. See them Kalla? Fire when you have a clear shot.
Chevron 7 locke
"You ready for this Jedi?" "As ready as I'll ever be." Alriana replied as she opened up on one of the fighters that was following them. Imperial Pride "I think not, Beroc. I know we've both been plotting against one another for some time, but I had to let you make the first move. I can only hope your successor won't make the same mistake." Beroc shouted at his command crew as the deadly gas began to fill the corridors. "Order all crewmen to evacuate! Issue command of the fleet to the Glory and tell them to prepare to retrieve escape pods." Beroc and his command crew began to run toward the escape pods as the evacuation alarm began to sound. Ackbar "Admiral Garja! The imperial flagship is rapidly losing crew members. As of now there are only two hundred lifesigns left on board." Garja smiled. "That means that their rate of fire and shield recharge rate will have dropped rapidly. Target their bridge and fire. And contact the strike forces heading for the planet. Inform them that the mercenary Atora will be waiting for them on the planet." "Yes sir!"
Alkonium
NISD Glory Gelnir Thek, Captain of the Glory waited in the starboard hangar for escape pods to arrive, having received word of what had transpired aboard the Imperial Pride, along with new orders from Lord Pestilus. He was accompanied by a squad of stormtroopers, with the rest of the hangar cleared and sealed off. They were all clad in hazmat suits, and had blasters at the ready. Technically, only the hazmat suits and quarantining the hangar were standard procedure for a viral infection; the stormtroopers were because of Pestilus's orders. Ebon Hawk Got it. Kalla sent back, and she starting eyeing up opportunities to pick off the remaining fighters, taking it whenever she could. I think it's time we made for the surface. JediMaster12
Tonatius took out his fair share of fighters that tried to go after the ship as they made a break for the planet. He noticed that Matton was systematically weaving in and out of asteroid belt while descending to the planet. He didn't pick up as many fighters. Rather they were searching. He then said, "Don't randomly fire. Sniper mode now." ********** Matton had spotted Tavaryn's vessel and made to follow him. If they followed the same path, there was the less likely chance of getting spotted. He commed, "Tavaryn I'm on your six and following your approach." Roger Meanwhile Tavaryn called back to his crew, "You two, go to sniper mode. I'm not picking up as many fighters since I lost them behind one of the bigger ones. If you see a shot, take it but make it a killing shot."
Chevron 7 locke
Imperial Pride A lone ensign slowly got to his feet as the bridge of the Pride continued to shake as the Ackbar's turbolasers continued to crash against the shields. The ensign could hear horrible sounds echoing throughout the corridors. As far as he knew he was the only one left who wasn't infected. The ensign ran to the helm and locked the Pride onto a collision course with the Ackbar using the remaining thrusters and then set the self-destruct to activate as soon as it hit the Ackbar The console flashed twice and the message Collision course locked came up on the screen. Ackbar "Admiral Garja! There is only one lifesign left on the Imperial Pride, located on the bridge. Sensors are also reporting that the Imperial Pride has activated it's self-destruct sequence and is on a collision course with us." "Medbay reports that Admiral Belina won't survive much longer. Chief Medical officer Liran says that she either needs a jedi or a miracle." "Open communications to Komad and inform him of Admiral Belina's condition. Maybe he can help her. I don't plan on losing the supreme commander of the Republic fleet. And begin evasive manuvers to avoid the Imperial Pride" "Aye sir!" "You two, go to sniper mode. I'm not picking up as many fighters since I lost them behind one of the bigger ones. If you see a shot, take it but make it a killing shot." Alriana slowly nodded and continued to cover the area with weapons she had at her disposal. Escape Pod Grand Admiral Beroc stepped out of the escape pod as soon as it was picked up by the Glory. He wasn't alone in the pod, he had his security officer, and five fully armed stormtroopers. He looked over the group of troopers in the hanger and then looked at the captain of the Glory. "What is the meaning of this?" He asked calmly and dangerously.
Alkonium
Glory "Standard procedure requires us to quarantine the hangar until we know for sure you're not infected." Captain Thek explained. "As for the stormtroopers, I'm under orders from Lord Pestilus to place you under arrest and confine you to the brig once I'm sure you're clean. You will remain there until we rendezvous at Dromund Kaas, at which point he will deal with you personally." Beroc's security officer spoke up. "We'll make sure he doesn't try anything while we're all under quarantine." Following that, the stormtroopers from the pod pointed their blasters at Beroc as well. "Thank you commander." Captain Thek replied. Komad's X-38 "I'm sorry, I've just received a message from the Ackbar. The need my help stabilising Admiral Belina's position as soon as possible. I'll join you on Geonosis as soon as I can." Komad sent out to the Ebon Hawk and the Silver Eagle, turning his X-38 around and heading back to the Ackbar. Ebon Hawk "Got it." Kalla replied. Heeding Tonatius's instructions, she switched the settings on the turret to sniper mode, and made a point of targeting the cockpit or the engines in order to make the most of her shots. However, Matton was right about there not being many fighters left.
JediMaster12
Tavaryn said nothing else but made a break for the planet's surface. Now that there were no more fighters giving chase, he made a direct descent to the coordinates. The landing area was fairly big and looked like a canyon when he landed the ship. he said over the comm, "Landing complete," and left the cockpit to explore the surface. He never thought that he would be standing in a place that was a part of his family's history. Looking around he could almost see the shadows of a Jedi fighter and a Jedi looking around to search for something. Haruka was relieved to be off the ship. He was anxious to get into the fray and said to Alriana, "Well Jedi seems like we're going to have some fun. If we can find the enemy." He pulled out his blaster and proceeded to the ramp. ********** Matton saw Tavaryn's ship making his approach and called back, "Going in for a landing." Tonatius made a final scan of the area. It looked as if the fighters were busy with the fleet in space. He said to Kalla, "Great that you got em but don't get too cocky. Unbecoming of a Jedi." He was of course teasing her. Chevron 7 locke
((I would actually prefer it if Beroc lived just in case you were thinking of killing him off.)) "Well Jedi seems like we're going to have some fun. If we can find the enemy." Alriana smirked. "If I have learned anything, It's that the enemy usually finds us before we find them." Ackbar "Admiral. Master Komad's ship has just landed in the hanger. I have asked him to report to the medbay as quickly as he can. Also, the Imperial Pride missed us before it self-destructed. The imperial fleet is begining to retreat." "Excellent." Glory "Thank you commander." Beroc stared daggers at his Security officer and the troopers. It seems The dark lord has managed to corrupt even my most loyal of officers. "I hope you realize what you are doing. The dark lord will detroy us all if he gets the chance. He is using the Empire to his own ends."
Alkonium
(I figured you would. I also figured Beroc's officers would have to be pretty stupid to be honest about their loyalty to him in that situation.) Glory As soon as Captain Thek left the hangar and his stormtroopers had dispersed, the security officer spoke up. "With all due respect sir, you're more gullible than Captain Thek." He pointed out. "If we had sided openly with you, we'd have been executed on the spot, and you'd have had noone to help you take over this ship." Ebon Hawk "You're one to talk." Kalla called back to Tonatius. She loved joking around with him like that. "I have a bad feeling about this." She commented. RSS Ackbar Komad rushed through the corridors of the Ackbar, desperately making his way to the medbay. The ship itself was out of danger, but the same could not be said for Admiral Belina. Though he was not a dedicated Jedi Healer, he possessed enough skill to stabilise Belina's condition long enough to get her to a proper medical facility. JediMaster12
"That may be true Jedi," Haruka replied, "but in my experience if you manage to get behind the enemy and get them before they get you, it is a good thing." "Please," was all Tavaryn said, his way of asking for quiet. Something wasn't right here. He signaled to Alriana that she was to stay there and keep a sharp eye. He then scrambled into the cliffs scouting around. ********** Tonatius chuckled and immediately grew sober. They had just barely landed and already he was feeling apprehensive. Kalla merely voiced it. He beckoned Kalla to follow him to the main hold where Jun-la was waiting for them. Team meeting. Jun-la spotted them and began, "Alright now that we have landed, the best thing to do is stick together. If we need to separate, no one goes alone. Constant contact with comm signals. Everyone clear?"
