Astor
Imperialist Meatbags There you go, our counterpart to the Walking Carpets (which has been selected as an adversary), the sinister Imperialist Meatbags. The guild isn't ready for deployment yet, as we lack the necessary number of members with pre-orders (I haven't been emailed a code yet, despite having pre-ordered ), so it'd be greatly appreciated if we could get four members with pre-orders to join so that both our guilds are ready for launch day. Come, Join the Dark Side!
Ztalker
My lord, your Sith Inquisitor is here. I will do thy bidding and use my pre-order code... And if you don't mind, my nephew would like to do so as well...he's been an avid Kotor player as well and is, like me, well past the 'high pitch voice' age. EDIT: I have applied... Lynk Former
Alright, we have enough members in both LF guilds now so we're all set for launch. We'll advise everyone which server we'll end up on when they tell us in early December.
RC-3556
I much enjoyed this article. This guild seems appealing yet informative and I have subscribe to your RSS feed. *Wordpress spambot impression over, anyways can't wait to get playing with you folks and folkettes. Lynk Former
Just a reminder, everyone who is in IMB can also join TWC with their Republic character and visa-versa. Ideally, we hope to have the same people in both guilds, though we understand if some folks only one to stick with one faction. For me, I'm rolling a Republic Trooper Vanguard (Tank) for the Walking Carpets and a Sith Warrior Marauder (DPS) for Imperialistic Meatbags. mimartin
Going with mainly Smuggler (gunslinger) for Carpets, not sure about the Meatbags side. I'll wait to see what the guild needs before deciding. Even gunslinger is open, if we need another healer, I'll go that way.
Lynk Former
Both sides need healers XD
logan23
I will Roll an Imperial Agent/Operative for you guys I know from the Beta testing they have heal abilities. I know the site Guild is frozen so once you guys know what server will then reach out to join at early access if you would like.
mimartin
Logan23 and anyone that wants to join either Guild, Lynk has posted how in the TOR for Dummies thread. Alright, just to make things simple for everyone all you need to do is... 1. Create a character on the same server the guild is on (we'll find that out soon enough and let everyone know which server folks should be joining). 2. Send me a private message on LucasForums telling me your characters name so I can send you an invite. 3. Do the happy dance. Hurrah. Ztalker
Hey all, seen the fact that the Guild Pre-launch program is closed, maybe it's time to look at the roster and make decisions about what advanced classes or specs to choose to benefit the guild the most. It would suck to end up with an unbalanced guild... What I've seen in video's, most 4-team missions will require 1 tank, 1 healer and 2 damagers (dps). 10 man-missions will probably require 2-3 tanks, 2-3 healers and the rest dps. Class roles Here are the class roles, explained in an easy graph: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Our guild has: 2 Sith Warrior 2 Bounty Hunter 1 Sith Inquisitor 0 Imperial Agent 1 Undecided Possible tanks: 5 Possible healers: 3 Possible melee dps: 5 Possible ranged dps: 3 It all depends on what advanced class you take though. Choosing Marauder means a Sith Warrior can't tank any more. After choosing your specialisation, you can only switch talent points around, but your role is practically set. Maybe it's usefull to take a look at what appeals to all our members, so we can create a balanced guild. That way, we can play group missions together without needing to grab a tank or healer from outside the group. Also, Lynk pointed out that you could always create a second character and play an entirely different role. However, I imagine everyone wants to get as far as they can with their 'first' primary character. Any thoughts? Feel free to post your preferences.. Preferences: Name on SWTOR site: Ztalker Preferred advanced class: Sith Assassin Preferred role: Support-burst DPS (sapping enemies, crippling enemies etc)or tank. If persuaded, I could play: Sith Sorcerer - healer/ranged. The class seems boring but if someone could proof me wrong.. I've done some digging around about Sith Assassin tanking and it seems to be quite cool. It also works very well with Synthweaving, which ables me to craft custom-looking (orange colour in your inventory) items that can be fitted with lv50 upgrades. Bioware wants players to be able to customise their own look that way. So if you see a nice looking jacket, pants that you dont want to replace...no fear. You can constantly upgrade the 'orange' versions of your gear with increasingly powerfull upgrades. So we can create our own unique looking tier-armor so to say. Sound cool! -----------------CONFIRMED -------------- *Will edit this along the way* 1 Melee dps (Lynk) 0 Healer 1 Tank (Ztalker) 0 Ranged dps -----------------NOT CERTAIN-------------- 0 Melee dps 3 Healer (Militiades, Logan 23, Mav) 0 Tank 3 Ranged Dps (Militiades, Logan 23, Mav) Very quick responses from all you guys! We seem to be in a luxury position with so many ranged and healing classes around. And 2 Marauders...according to the chart, only a small percentage of the players will play that class... Lynk Former
I'll be rolling a Sith Marauder using the Carnage skill tree for IMB. Which means melee DPS for me. I'm also willing to roll an Agent Operative alt character specced under the Medic tree if you guys really need a healer... but to be honest, I'd rather roll full DPS on this side of the fence considering I'm going full tank on the other side. My full list on the Empire side... Sith Warrior - Marauder - Carnage - Melee DPS Sith Inquisitor - Assassin - Darkness - Tank Bounty Hunter - Mecernary - Arsenal - Ranged DPS Imperial Agent - Operative - Medic - Healer ...sp really, I'm able to function in any role, but I'd prefer overall to stick with the Marauder if possible. Miltiades
I'm starting with a Bounty Hunter Mercenary. I'm not really thinking too far ahead with the character, but I may be willing to go Healer on this one. And if I'm not, then I won't mind rolling a second character, a Sith Sorcerer probably. logan23
I have to send a pm. I'm interested in joining. I will an imperial agent /operative that can heal or let me know what you need. I plan to be rolling all classes and even Alts so just give me heads up and will make that character class and advance class.
Mav
Name on SWTOR site: ZuluPSierra Preferred advanced class: Sith Sorceror Preferred role: Healer/Crowd Control I'm not actually in the Guild Roster, since I'm on the Republic roster, but I'll be rolling a DPS Smug on that side and a Healer/CC Sorc over on the Imperial side of things. In fact...

logan23
I would love if there was an option to use a similar setup for character face customizing for your companions. This could be something that could be bought even. The customizing would be limited but will have more options then selecting a pre package look. From the video I see there are 7 different companion looks you could buy.
Ztalker
Little question guys, regarding flaspoints. We'll mainly be playing those at night, but...that might become difficult seen the enormous time differences. When it's 9pm here in Europe, me and Militiades are ready to go, but you guys are still enjoying your lunch, and Lynk is drinking the 10 am coffee at work...any ideas how to do this? Methinks formally scheduled dungeons isn't the best idea, you probably will want to grab whoever in the guild wants to come and then PUG for what you don't have (or use companions if you have your act together). Or you could take turns skipping class/calling in sick, raids b4 grades and all that jazz. But then again I'm not going to be playing, so don't let me influence guild policy. Mav
The way I see it, after leveling to 50 in the beta, really the main chunk of it can be completed solo or quicker with just a buddy. Like you were saying the Flashpoints and later the end-game Operations and Hard Mode Flashpoints are really the only thing requiring a full group, even most of the planetary Heroic quest can be completed with a buddy and companions. Anyway, for the moment I know a lot of the US folks, especially younger ones will have much more flexible schedule during this holiday break period. Also Lynk doesn't matter he doesn't really sleep or anything. In the future though, I imagine we'll set up weekend events to do Operations, Flashpoints and End-Game content. If I were you, I'd find a group of people near you for the earlier flashpoints for now at least, once we all start rolling alts everything will be much more flexible. Lynk Former
Whether I'm in Australia or from the US, the fact is that the only times I and most other people will be able to play during most of the year is on the weekends. Flashpoints are an easy deal since it's a 4 player only type thing. You can take your friends and guild members or just random people in there with you pretty easily. Operations on the other hand will require a lot more organisation, time and preparation and will need to be scheduled. This isn't going to be a problem if we schedule them in advance and do them on a weekend date. Also, right now I'm still in Uni so I have huge breaks during mid-year and at the start/end of the year between semesters and a week during the middle of semesters I can exploit. Also, once I graduate and become a teacher I'll have the school break periods to exploit too We'll find a way to work things out, don't worry. I won't be heading back to school until the start of March so there's plenty of time for me to support others during flashpoints for quite awhile.
