Remi Posted January 2, 2002 Posted January 2, 2002 Well, sorta anyway. There's still a DNS issue that needs to be sorted out, but if you go to http://www.thescummbar.com it will forward you to our newly developed site at http://209.126.167.138/. We hope you enjoy the "new" SCUMM Bar!
Remi Posted January 3, 2002 Author Posted January 3, 2002 I've heard the scouser in charge of that site is somewhat of a nutjob.
Riffage Posted January 3, 2002 Posted January 3, 2002 he likes to hug people a lot... i know its strange........ *PLEASE IGNORE THE SCOUSAR STANDING IN THE CORNER*
Courthold Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 Personally i think 'The Scouser' is just a marketing ploy to get all the ladies interested.
Schmatz Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 Watch it, you're getting Admiral Casaba excited!
Metallus Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 But seriously folks, great to have the site back. (also, you won't have to worry about Admiral anymore).
Darnn Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 A little thing I've been wondering about... What does the word 'Scouser' mean, exactly? Oh, and this thread is living proof that the PibLuff should be returned.

Skyfox Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 People who are from Liverpool are called Scousers... don't ask why, long story! Me being from Liverpool... makes me automatically better than someone from Manchester! Ain't that right Remi! (Sorry, not relevent.. just couldn't help pointing that important thing out!)
Gabez Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 Tis true. Ofcourse, everyone knows that us Oxford-ers are far superior to everyone else on the planet...
Prinity Posted January 4, 2002 Posted January 4, 2002 Bill Bryson says Oxford was ruined by all the ugly buildings they put up in the 60s and 70s. Not that that has anything to do with anything, but that's what the Pibluff is all about.
Gabez Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Yeah well Bill Bryson is an idiot! You here that? AN IDIOT!! If you've ever read Northern Lights by Philip Pullman you'd understand what I mean.
Feral Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 What? Bill Bryson rules! Although I must dsay, I didn't enjoy his British book...I think the best one is 'The Lost Continent' (American).

And Northern Lights is set in a universe where obviously the 60s and 70s didn't really happen.
Gabez Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 What rubish! Have you ever met Philip Pullman? Eh? Have you? Eh? Well then, everything I say is automatically true! HA! And Bill Bryson was probably right, but you don't really notice the ugly buildings much. Still, tis a crying shame.
