+Nimbus+
I pre-ordered Jedi Knight 2 tonight and I'm soo friggin stoked!! Jeesh the jedi notes 4 from digl that just makes it sound more like it's real life, err beyond real life, not a game. As I presumed it wasn't gonna be the same saber system so that's not good for you "leet" players rock on'!! Raven and LEC
SlowbieOne
I'm not gonna pre-order mine because it usually comes out at EB before a pre-order. Although pre-orders occasionally come early. Still, I'm not gonna chance it cause a day or two or possibly even more can be a LONG time if you can't get it on release, at least in this case. +Nimbus+
I get a free mystery gift actually i don't care about that, but no tax or shipping costs can't beat it.
digl
Iv not preorderd it yet I wished LEC had intl shipping, but they cant do it because of Activision rights I think There are some services here that provide you with a PO box in the US and then send you the stuff, but I dont have any of those (I should get one) If I had one I could have preordered long ago and got mistery gift I must check what site has relatively fast intl shipping and low costs. Anyone here recommends something?
SlowbieOne
my defense.. No need. I honestly hope you get it early. Who knows, that mystery gift may turn out to be something cool.
+Nimbus+
try to get a deal with lucas arts somehow cause it's free i don't know, maybe convince them? but i'm all hyper now after pre-ordering it, i feel like i'm the "leetest" player out already ^_^
The Seeker
Ha, I had it pre ordered from LEC nearly a month ago. It was one of those incredibly rare events where I had $50 right then when I needed it, so rather than chance not having the $ when the time came, I went for it early. Now for that GeForce 2 Ti that I want and I will be set. *whispers Oh please, Oh please* [edit] I bet the mystery gift will be something really cheap like a refrigerator magnet, or a 4"x6" poster that looks exactly like the front of the box, or a keychain. Hopefully it's an Outcast hat or something. I could use a new hat. Oh, and where are my manners *looks under the table* Ah, there they are Welcome to the forums Nimbus *hands Nimbus a welcome gift basket which includes a free Refrigerator Magnet* Enjoy. And cool Avatar BTW
DeathBoLT
As I presumed it wasn't gonna be the same saber system so that's not good for you "leet" players Why would l33t(im assuming you mean elitists) players be in trouble? While I personally abhor elitism and only use the word 'elite' here because its come to describe players which play to win and succeed at JK. quick note: my definition of elitists: some of the better competitive online gamers who choose to demonstrate their 'superiority' in an arrogant and loud mouthed manner What credit one must give 'l33ts', is that those who demonstrate the elitist's attitude typically do so for a reason. While various aspects of the game change game to game, the basic tenets of successful online deathmatch gaming, movement, aim, and control, usually do not. Those who are 'elite' players or players that successfully play to win, usually have a grasp of these ideas and the mastery of it typically can carry over game to game fairly well. Every one will start off equally, but others will excel at the game more quickly than others.
StephenG
I'm not pre-ordering. Look at RtCW release in Australia i got it at the shops on a Monday while everyone anyone who pre-ordered it had to wait till that Friday.
Roger
I think pre-oredering is good for people who don't live near a shop where they sell the product or don't have time to go to a shop. I'll just go to downtown and buy it at CompUSA or EB when it comes out...
OnlyOneCanoli
Like I said in the other thread, I'll never pre-order from LEC again. The last time I did it I got the game 3-4 days late, which I didn't find amusing at all. I'll just pick it up at my local EBX on the day it comes out. JR2000Z
I pre-ordered it when it was availible for it. I'm to lazy to get off my chair and get it myself.
txa1265
I've been hinting for it since it didn't exist ... my wife did the pre-order for ObiWan!!! ... I emailed her the address for pre-order ... I'm pretty sure she did. My birthday is at the beginning of April (*not 1st*), and my age has made me patient ... even if it comes out March 1st. Kurgan
I hesitate to pre-order the game, because although I will probably buy it within a week of its release (assuming I don't get some bad vibes before that), if I pre-order, who's to say I won't just have to wait when it gets delayed.. (flashbacks to Obi-Wan PC) or worse. I'll just get it in the store. Besides, I'd have to pay shipping and all that, so the few bucks I might save by pre-ordering would likely be negated (and no cc). ; p Kurgan
The Seeker
LEC is/was doing free shipping for JKII, so is a pretty good deal. Besides, I live about 35 miles from the nearest city and more than a hundred miles from the nearest skyscraper, so might not be able to get it on release. And, as I said, I had the $50 right then. Which was the deciding factor
Rogue15
i don't use a dam credit card, so i'm not preordering. i'll wait a month or two until its price drops. And i know, it WILL drop. *cough*elite force*cough*
chilli
I kind of thought that 50 buck was a lot (JK was 15$) even acounting for sales tax shipping and the prize unless the prize is about 25$ I'm hoping that it will drop and the pre order is just a little over priced
Millions o' Monkeys
i didnt...it would cost about $100 aus for the game then for EB to send it here thats an extra $40 aus i thought that was just stupid....ill just buy it on the dya of release for you people that flunked maths that eqauls $140 aus
StormHammer
I've pre-ordered my copy from Gameplay in the UK. They're usually very good shipping out stuff as soon as it's released...and the postage is FREE. Did it all online (I do have a credit card ), so now I just have to wait for it to hit the door mat. I'm not really worried about any delays, because they won't charge my card until they actually get the game and process the order. I've also pre-ordered SOFII And a big welcome to Nimbus and Chilli. I really hope you enjoy your stay. *hands each a chocolate Jedi Medallion* There you go.
GUNNER
I have never pre-ordered before. i just swing into EB and pick up the games I want. I wonder if I should buy a Audigy Gamer sound card also......
Rogue15
i always find what i want at electronic boutique at a decent price. it just takes me 30 minutes to find it. took me 45 minutes to find xwing vs tie fighter last week. it was $10. i did the same for elite force, looked around for 30 minutes walked out of the store, went to bookstore, walked out of bookstore came back to eb, and looked some more, and i found it for $15 preowned in a corner on the floor. It's just like an easter egg hunt!
jipe
I'm not preordering it, because $50 + shipping is stupid when you can get it for $30-40 the first week of release (then the stores jack up the price for a long itme). The only reason I could think to preorder would be because you live far away from a store and it's stupid to drive all that way..
SlowbieOne
Actually Jipe, I asked EB how much JK2 would be and it will be $49.99. It's just a matter of preference.
