Kx_Dra_Sycdan
i wonder what a guy like that would do with his stuff when he is dieing, will he put it in his will? "i hear by bestow my worthless junk to my poor kids, daddy's become one with the force" seriously though. i know alot of you won't like this but with all that money he could have fed homeless children, he could of donated it to science, the 911 fund(asuming this was done after 911) anything at all really, its really quite sad in my opinion. not so sad for him but for humanity the such a consumer zombie exists. mindless. oblivious. human waste. how can someone live so self-ishly that he could not see what he really is apart of... *for the guy that live's with his eyes sown shut* this is all my opinion of course and nothing that should be seen as a forced opinion that is being shoved down your throat like consumer products, don't worry i won't mess up your fun, you exist obliviously to the things that are important in life...like LIFE itself and the world will just passivly watch you eat it alive. why even bother to exist at all? i'm not sorry for not sitting back and saying nothing about this and if you don't like what i've said then thats fine. this is after all probly no big deal to you and your probly saying to yourself right now "dude wtf is this guys problem its just SW stuff!!" but its so much more to the people living in decayed societies like ours and means even more to the people whom we ignore every second of every day over consuming products and the like. ZePhyR
YOu know, I consider myself SW fan, I like the games. I can see being casually interested in it, maybe seeing the movies a few times and owning a few action figures/comic books, but that is way too overboard. I dunno, maybe I don't belong here. Boba Rhett
Who's to say he doesn't give to charity, feed the homeless, etc.? None of us have any right to ridicule someome for what they choose to spend some of their excess money on, when we really have no clue what their story is and what they have done for others. btw, when he dies that collection will be worth a lot of money. oh and, maybe you should donate your computer and all your gaming money to charity. I'm sure that would feed some people too. *sigh* high horses suck....
Guest Jarras Starfire
Man o Man! I've never seen so much Star Wars related stuff in one area in my life! I definately enjoy that Han Solo Carbonite Case, I remember when they were selling the molds from the original on the Sci-Fi Channel, I think they were $3,600 for one mold. I couldn't see myself designing that whole room, it's alittle too much for me. A room like yours, Rhett, is more my speed.
Rogue15
THAT is sick. He'd probably commit suicide if his house burnt down... if i were him, i'd see about opening a museum, and making people pay a $10 entering fee...
Boba Rhett
R15, do you really think he'd have all that and not have insurance for it?
digl
but no insurance would give him everything back, he could get lots of money, but It's not the same, and he doesn't seem to have money problems
Kurgan
Lol, that looks more like a toystore than a collection (or a museum). Very cool to look out. However, if I were rich and that guy, I'd actually have TWO of everything. One set to be in perfect condition in that setting like in the photos, the other set to play with with my children/friends. ; ) But yeah, you can spend your money on what you want... some might consider what you spend your money on frivilous (like games or computers or whatnot), but to you I'm sure it makes sense. Guest Krayt Tion
Lol, I especially like the Imperial Motif modeled into the freakin' architecture of his house. I can't say I'm surprised, though, since people go to extremes in every area of human possibility- be it with murder, consumerism, love and devotion, sex, and as many other behaviors and habits as you can imagine. However, there are some widely harmful behaviors in which the extremes seem more prevelant (and not just because "you never hear about the good things") than other benefic human behaviors. I would count high-end mass consumerism among these things. This is because, personally, I do not put much emphasis of material objects when pondering my satisfaction in life. In fact, if there is one thing that will cause me to leave computers and gaming for a long time, it is the value that myself (I'll admit) and other gamers seem to put on their hardware. Something growing inside me rejects this dependence. While I think Kx_Dra_Sycdan perhaps oversteps his bounds in his declaration, I can appreciate where is coming from, the roots of his rant anyways. Eternity
That is.... Too have that much dedication and to waste so much money on a movie script is mind boggling. No offence Bobba Fett, you're just a fan. That guy is a maniac. I don't think I belong here either. I just can't get into something that was concieved as just another action flick from a high quality producer, and then was just added on to by rabid fans who thirst for something to dedicate their lives to. GUNNER
Now that is cool, I would move my bed in there some how to keep an eye on everything though.
darthfergie
Hey I wouldn't mind the room...would you? I mean it IS a SW museum (or so it should be) If I had spare time and money...well I'd do what I wanted, but I don't (life...it has good parts and bad) But seriously he probably made everything in there himself or had some friends help him...so I doubt it costs all that much (for the SW furniture I mean...I'm sure the collectables are very valuable)

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought we lived in a capitalist society. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that donating to charity is wrong, but to me calling that sick is the same as calling museums, the White House, Bill Gates, and profit sick. What you want it is a communism.
Eternity
Er, no? With pure communism, everyone is poor. It isn't the same at all. And as you know, the White House and museums aren't a waste of money. Museums generate revenue just like any other business, and the White House is the focal point for our government. Buying Star Wars items doesn't serve a purpose.
Boba Rhett
So.... we shouldn't buy Jedi Outcast either? What do you mean it doesn't serve a purpose? By that reasoning, pretty much nothing that any of us do in life ever serves a purpose. Do you whatch T.V.? Do you listen to music? Do you wear a certain brand of clothing? Do you play games? Do you do anything for your own pleasure? If any of you answered yes to any of those, you don't really have the right to say what that man does is wrong. It's what he does for fun and entertainment and that's what it's purpose is. /end rant Oh yeah, and the horse you rode in on!
