Why does people keep thinking clones look like Boba Fett?

some ideas

MON CAL!!

nearly all units, like Gungans, as well as sub frigates and housing.

differences? 1. do not have highest blaster upgrade

2. shields are either 1.5 times as strong or rcharge 1.5 times as fast.

3. unique techs: 'miniatrure shiled generators' affects mech factory and shipyard units, but adds 10% to the unit's cost

'ingenuity' all 'civilian' units (transports, traders, workers, etc) gain makeshift defensive weapons, combat units gain +1 damage bonus

4. UU: amphibious commando: invivible, amphibious, and wastes troopers, buildings, and assault mechs

5. significant (15%) fishing bonus

more to come. no computer in my next class ;)

Here goes my idea

Mon Calamari

BONUSES

-Defensive structures are 20% cheaper

-Ore extraction 10% faster

-Fighters 5% cheaper

-Fighters 10% +hit points

PENALTIES

-Nova Crystals extraction 10% slower

-Mech Factory units 10% slower

-Heavy weapons 5% more expensive

UNIQUE UNITS

-Mon Cal Commando: Unit with low attack, high hitpoints

and bonus against troopers

-Stealth Fighter: Cloaked air unit with bonus against ground units.

UNIQUE TECH

-Mon Cal Assault Tactics: All water and air units get +10% hitpoints and +2 attack

MISSING UNITS

-Jedi Master

-Repeater trooper

-Hvy assault Mech

-Hvy Pummel

NOTE: This would be a very defensive civilization, that could win by draining the opponent's resources

So we all agree that Mon Cal should be in it! GOOD! I like your ideas of the Mon Cal. We need to go to the Developers and present some of those ideas.:D

I agree with you then the developer can come out with a Mon Cal with a few people idea mix together. It would be neat. They should make a competition and who ever wins can make a civs and make it part of the next X-Pac

To make air units better, they should make it so that you could garrison a worker droid in a fighter, and maybe a bomber. When inside, it could restore hitpoints and/or shields more quickly, as well as adding to an attack/defense bonus, or making the plane target more effectively. This would be cool, and realistic.

No Fergie!!!!!!!! Scenario designing is about patience, if there was a terrain, it would be somewhat random. That's not the point.

But what I'd really like is an orange cloud terrain, so that it looked as in the movie.

Yes, only the rebels have astromechs, but the gungans don't really have an airforce either, so it wouldn't have to be completely accurate. At least the concept of droids repairing ships is already implanted in peoples' minds. I think that it would make using an airforce worthwhile, instead of just a secondary tactic to catch an opponent off-guard.

So what if it is random...I can go back and edit it...But can you even IMAGINE how hard it is to make a decent corridor of buildings??? Or Fill in an area with buildings that takes up an 1/8 of the map...

Well, yes I know it's difficult, you have a point. I still like it the way it is.

Thanks Clefo.

The only two things I desperately want are the VONG, and for the Jedi to be stronger. I will be extremely happy if both happen.

The Yuuzhan Vong are the the antogonists in the recent Star Wars novels in the New Jedi Order time period.

They are featured in the books Vector Prime, Dark Tide I: Onslaught, Dark Tide II: Ruin, Agents of Chaos I: Hero's Trial, Agents of Chaos II: Jedi Eclipse, Balance Point, Edge of Victory I: Conquest, Edge of Victory II: Rebirth, and the most recent, Star by Star .

Basically, twentysome years after the Battle of Endor, the New Republic formed by the Rebels is finally in a state of peace, having defeated the Empire in a long battle of attrition.

Then the Vong arrive, invaders from another galaxy. Apparently they fled their home long ago, and have arrived in a certain Galaxy far, far, away after traveling for ages.

They are religious fanatics. They believe machinary is evil. They utilize nothing that is mechanical of electrical, in favor of genetic engineering organisms for everything. They also believe the Jedi are a blasphemy, being able to use mystical powers.

It's not so much the powers they despise so much as the fact that the Force goes against their own religion, and that the Jedi don't pray to the Yuuzhon Vongs' gods for their gifts.

Oh yeah, and they're completely cut off from the Force. They can't be manipulated, affected, or even sensed or detected through the Force, meaning that the Jedi are dealing with the threat more or less with one hand behind their back.

They have a strict caste based society, and their religious life involves sacrifice. This can be in the form of droids and other technology, sentient beings, or themselves. They tend to "pray" by cutting themselves, putting themselves on the rack, breaking bones, or hacking bits off. Their insignias of rank are creatures attached to them. As a result of these to facts, a good idea of how tough an individual Vong is can be is to see how ugly they are. High ranking Vong tend to look like they got fed through a meat grinder and then sloppily put back together using spare parts or critters that looked like they'd be able to fulfil the needed function.

They're absolutely merciless, and very, very clever. They may look and act it, but they are not stupid savages.

I could go on, but it's simpler to read the books. Don't buy any just yet though. I'd get one from the library to check out first.

This series is very much in the Absolutely Love it as the Best Thing Since Boba Fett or Absolutely Hate it With the Burning Rage of a Thousand Worlds. There's been very little middle ground in the fan base.

I just had my yearly flash of brilliance. For those concerned about the possible problem with Vong Jedi, the Vongs could Macedonia-it. For any NOT familiar with the Age of Empires: Rise of Rome expansion pack, the Macedonian civilization had no ability to build temples at all, but their units were quadruple resistant to conversion, this would reflect the Jedi's inability to affect Vong with the Force. Their Bounty Hunter would probably also need to be beefed up a little. THE VONG MUST MAKE IT TO THE X-PACK!
