What franchise should be made into an adventure

What Movie/TV Show/Book, etc. do you guys think should be made into an adventure game?

There was an old (early 80s) BBC TV show called Sapphire and Steel, which I always thought would make a great adventure game.

It was a weird show and much was left unexplained, but basically Sapphire and Steel are supernatural investigators whose job is to repair breaches in Time, because when there are breaches in time, then there are nasties that come through and try to do nasty stuff.

The cool part is how these breaches come to occur. For instance, a room full of victorian antiques just might confuse time into thinking that room is really from victorian times, and thus a tear in the fabric of time will form.

The TV show was quite low budget, and as a result, each storyline of 4 or so episodes was confined to a single set which was usually a house or a train station, or something of that nature. Sapphire and Steel, who were supposed to be embodiments of the materials they are named after, would wander around the set, experiencing strange phenomena, and eventually would come up with a clever way to repair the damage. The show was basically a huge adventure game, S&S had to work out the clues to find out what caused the original problem and what to do about it.

the fifth element

i just watched it again recently, and at the time i actually imagined that last part - when they had to "unlock" the 4 blocks - as a perfect adventure game puzzle. It's really difficult, yet so logical...i suppose it'd be kind of action-adventure. i can see it being fun. you play both corbin and lilu...zak mckraken style. :)

Law and Order

You switch maniac mansion style between the cops and lawyers. Oh yea and cause seeing a 70 pixel tall Lenny would just be too cute. (Wow I just channeled my sister there for a moment)

Adventure games are usually suited best as completely orignal titles...the Godfather wouldn't be too bad as a setting, but a similar (and better) thing has already happened in Grim Fandango.

I think a good adventure game set in the blade runner atmosphere (I know there is already one..I mean a "good" one) should be made, it has so much potential.

I didn't like the bladerunner adventure. There were too many things which required completely unrelated events to trigger them. Solving the game was too mechanical - talk to everyone over and over and over.

Do you know the canadian movie "Cube"? Great movie, really! But it would be the worst adventure game ever! ;)

But what about Vanilla Sky? A weird adventure in which you learn what it was about only at the end. Hmmm...

Or anything with Natalie Portman in it (waves at Darnn), because she is soo hot!

Exactly what I was going to say.

The master system games that were made were all pretty awful,

but I have always thought an adventure game would fit it well.

Plus it is my favourite film.
