elTee
Hey hey hey. LucasArts are like the mail. And Santa. THEY DELIVER!! Full throttle 2. I can't wait. Even if... if its a first person shooter RPG set in... a toilet. Because Ben is cool. But wait! The voice actor, tragically, is dead*. Who can replace him? Who knows... So, what do you's all reckon its gonna be like? PC only, you think? Share. *I don't mean its tragic 'cos the game won't have the same actor, I mean its tragic 'cos the bloke is dead. I know how you evil bunch of sadists work.
MeddlingMonk
Are you sure Roy Conrad is dead? I remember news a while back that he had cancer but nothing about dying. Not to be a wise ass, but do you know this or are you just assuming?
Remi
I don't think anybody knows for sure, but from what I heard it was pretty bad, and his rap sheet on IMDB hasn't been updated in a while. Fingers crossed, though.
elTee
Hmmm - I know for a fact he was ill... I'm not assuming, but I seem to remember a post on some website that was like "get well soon" kinda thing... maybe he isn't dead. I hope not, anyway. Metallus
Ben would know for sure. Ben_whatsisname, that is.
itsgood2slide
According to gamespot it will be on consoles as well as PC, which is good news to me because my PC won't stand a chance of running it (I have EMI on my PS2 for the same reason). :) :) New Adventure Game :) :)

But cancer is much more survivable these days than it used to be. I went searching for an obituary and didn't find one, but I didn't exactly knock myself out over it. Still, he might yet be sucking air.

I shall use all my resources at my disposal to find out an answer but please, if you're not sure if someone has pased away or not, don't post about them in past tense - that doesn't bode well for his hopes if people are writing him off like that. RaptorII
And often times with cancer, hope is one of your best allies for survival, as otherwise, you can just allow your self to waste away. Here is hoping he pulls through, and well.
The Adventurer
I'm sure I read that he died somewhere on the Mixnmojo network before the down time.
MeddlingMonk
I'll wait for confirmation, one way or the other. This could easily be a Mark Twain situation.
El Pollo Diablo
Sadly, I do not know about Roy Conrads Condition. But I have set up a Full Throttle 2 site at: FULL THROTTLE 2: FIRST UN OFFICIAL SITE I hope that MOJO will host it soon.
elTee
Yeah, I didn't mean to be insensitive or anything but I honestly remember a post that was saying he had died. I hope I'm wrong, but I do remember something. Maybe we could contact the Bobby Ball Agency? Thats his agent.

Nope, sorry. Ben, what you refer to is when I emailed the webmaster at http://actors.mixnmojo.com/ but he didn't know anything new about him. And nope, I didn't send any snailmail to Roy Conrad's C/O address. I know you did Ben, but I never did. (I know I said that, you must have forgot.) Still cant say why I didnt, just guess I didnt wanna waist his time reading my junk. Like, I wouldn't wanna waste 30 sec of his life when having cancer to open a letter that says "Thanks" or something. I figure his role as Ben means more to the fans than to him. I assumed other fans would send enough snailmail he could read if he wanted to. The address is Roy Conrad c/o Bobby Ball Talent Agency 4342 Lankershim Blvd. Universal City, CA 91602 U.S.A. If I appeared to come down too hard, I apologize. It used to be that cancer was often a virtual death sentence, and old patterns of thought have a way of sticking, but I'm very aware that things have changed. So, echoing Ben W., it'd be a good idea to get proof before looking for loose change. (It's just too bad that E3 trailer had no dialog. Just one word from Ben could've had settled the whole thing.) Metallus
http://lucasfans.mixnmojo.com/royconrad.html I found this page after looking into Roy's condition for some time. I have a feeling, based on the update at the top, that he's alright.
MeddlingMonk
I am now going to convert to Wet Blanket. Seems to me it only says he was cheered up. Maybe he died happy.
