i don't think it's co-dependent to need friends. more like schizoid to think you don't.

I can sympathize with phantom827 though. I kind of figure most of us "forum geeks" aren't the best socially ;) (no offense). I hope you feel better, things can be tough but remember you are not alone. =)

Well, here are some spare passes to Clemland, and I am sure someone could spare you the cookies from an unused Official LucasForums Welcome Basket.....

I agree with Absurd, sometimes you have to solve the matter yourself, in your head, before you can start to move on. Although that doesn't mean you don't need friends, it is that they are unlikely to know everything you are feeling, but you can use them to gain alternative perspectives, to help you get through this......

I spent a good 2 or so months where the last thing I wanted to do was to be at work, due to a lot of issues in my life, but with an extremely good friend, and looking deep inside my psyche, I came out the other side a lot better.......

I'd prefer to have 5 good friends, than 20 wannabe superficial ones.............

I imagine that we have all been in your situation. I myself have never had many firends. Sure I have a lot of people that I say hi to and can have a semi regualr basis talk to but in my whole life I have only have about 14 GOOD friends at one time. 10 were guys and 4 were girls. I am in college so I have experienced some of what you are going through. During my Freshman year though I had 2 schools. One in CA (second half) and one in IL (first half) so I had no friends during the CA one. That stunk. All you need to do is give it time. All HS people do not really know what they want and if I have learned anything about HS it is that it didn't matter at all. It was nice to get good grades only for a lower car insurance bill and so your parents won't get pissed off but that is all unless you are really smart and want to get into universities then you need good grades. I ended up with a respectable 3.27 GPA all 4 years while taking hard classes and I ended up going to Community College where you needed money to get in. Women are always fickle. They get a lot better out of HS and you need to find a mature one or else it is all frivilous.

Just between us and the Forums I was and probably still am a manic depressive. Always have been. I have genetic faults on both sides of my family so I can definetly understand the whole depression thingy. Freshman year is also almost always a mess. Hormones because those girls wear such revealing stuff. I can tell you that it gets better each year so like I said just stick it out, pass your classes, and try to have fun in whatever makes you happy as long as it is not self destructive or hurts others.

Have fun!
