The Count Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 I think this will happen for the simple fact in ROTJ Luke begs Darth Vader to join him however he states 'it's too late for me son' suggesting that he can never go back for to him the terrible single thing he did and that is what his hatred is purely about.

I can't imagine Anakin killing her.....I can't think of any kind of scenario in which this will happen, but I really belive that he won't do it. I think it will happen between episodes 3 and 4.

He trys to exact his revenge and ends up getting himself nearly killed in the process, leaving himself at the mercy of Palpatine. Perhaps a trap, perhaps the very reason why Padme died... because Palpatine needed a formidable servant. ....After thinking about that a little more, it makes it seem even more likely. That could explain why Anakin died when he killed Palpatine at the end of Episode VI, because it was at that moment that he did finally get that revenge, the hatred was finally released. Meaning that, for all that time, his anger and desire for vengeance was the only thing keeping him alive.
ckcsaber Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 This has been said befor but, I'm pretty sure Pdame will survive Ep 3. This is only 2 years after AotC, and in RotJ, Leia made it clear she remebered her mother when she was little. Leia must have been around 4-5 years old. Therefore, even if Padme has already given birth to Luke and Leia in Ep 3, they would not be able to remeber her yet.

leXX Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 I think the council find out about the wedding and hide Padme from him. In the mean time Padme gives birth to the twins. The council get Organa to take Padme to Alderaan with Leia, while Obi takes Luke to Tantoine. I think Anakin will be lead to believe she is dead by Palpatine, which drives him insane sending him on his final path to the dark side. He joins up with Palpatine to exact his revenge on the Jedi.

leXX Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 Agreed. I can't see ep3 covering the first few years of Leia's life. I think it will end shortly after the Jedi Purge and Anakin has become Vader. Like you say, I think she will die in the war after ep3.

Darklighter Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 I definitely think that Padme will die in Episode 3, maybe killed by someone Anakin hates, and she dies in his arms like his mother did. That would really add to the drama. All depends on who the character would be to kill her.

That would be bad for Lucas getting killed by SW nerds with plastic lightsabers... but you do have a point there Lynk.. Unless during the movie it says like 5 or 4 years later.. then she might die.. Its a thought

I think she's just die naturally of a disease or something. She couldn't be killed off, that would be too disrupting to the story.
