Darth Groovy Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 I play. Currently I don't have a marker, or the funds to get a good one, so I take turns renting and borrowing. I would like to go semi-automatic marker, and invenst in full body armor, all I have is a mask, knee pads, elbow pads and guantlets. I do wear thick hunters gear, but man I get some nasty welts, lemme tell ya... I love playing near thick wooded areas, so I can use the trees as cover, and play a good game of guerilla warfare. I don't like to stay in the woods for any long length of time though, because the woods are havens for spiders, which I happen to be deathly afraid of...
dark jedi 8 Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 tippmann (sp) makes some good semi auto markers, and so does kingman, that are relatively cheap.(anywhere from 120$-250$). playing in wooded areas is pretty fun, but i like hyperball the best. its when you go head on another aponent, or team vs. team, in a open field using barrels and bolted plywood(sp) stands to use as cover. last team or man standing wins. really fun. but it can give ya some nasty welts cause you tend to get a lot of close shots in.

Taos Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 I used to play quite a bit when I was in college......but not at all anymore. I really enjoyed it though. It's a rush, like everybody I have my war stories but I really just hated getting hit with some of those high powered weapons. Talk about bruises......=/

I am also very much into playing street hockey, a more urban blood sport, but I have not played in years. I am probably too old to be as fast as I used to be. I have not played paintball since last summer.

Darth Eggplant Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 they also use to have laser tag at the base of the CN Tower, you got lazer pistols and vests and helmets, knee and elbow pads with sensors on them. we have places called Playdiums, Sony run I think they may have then there too.

Rogue Nine Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 I prefer the Tippmans' actually. I went paintballing over the weekend and I lit up quite a few people with my Tippman 98 Custom. It was fun.
