Lightsabers

I would like to know if for exemple you have the double bladed lightsaber, can you just use one of the blades if you want like Darth Maul did against Qui-Gonn in ep1. And for exemple if you gave to your character the ability of using 2 lightsabers, could you just carry one and take the one of a sith that you killed.

A developer recently reported at the Bioware forums that you won't be able to only use one blade with a double-bladed saber.

To quote Chris Priestly from this thread...

Cool it might be, but able to you aren't. (wow did that ever sound like Yoda?). Seriously, you cannot. Either use a single saber or use a dublesaber. But no doubles as singles sabers. The items just aren't usable that way.

That would be ideal Eets. But hey, I don't think that if you can't do this, I wouldn't think many people would mind.

The Devs already said that this wont be in the game.

Its probably just too confusing to program or something. It does make tactical sense, but there are limits on what can/can't be done in a game. Or maybe it is something to do with the style of use. Who knows?? I'd rather have a single or two singles anyway.
