Drafus
I would like to know if for exemple you have the double bladed lightsaber, can you just use one of the blades if you want like Darth Maul did against Qui-Gonn in ep1. And for exemple if you gave to your character the ability of using 2 lightsabers, could you just carry one and take the one of a sith that you killed. Taos
Yes you can have it like Maul etc.....though I'm not sure if you can take weapons off of a sith lord you just killed. I haven't heard that......maybe Han or Com knows.
Eets
I don't think you can scavenge lightsabers off of dead jedi or sith. And about the using one blade at a time, I'm not sure, but it sure would be cool!
Burrie
A developer recently reported at the Bioware forums that you won't be able to only use one blade with a double-bladed saber. To quote Chris Priestly from this thread... Cool it might be, but able to you aren't. (wow did that ever sound like Yoda?). Seriously, you cannot. Either use a single saber or use a dublesaber. But no doubles as singles sabers. The items just aren't usable that way.
Eets
That's what I meant to say. ..Really!
leXX
OMG Drafus - You're not gonna believe this but I actually made the Samurai Jack avatar you are using last year lol. I made it for my site (which I have abandoned now btw) http://www.samuraijack.tv . Sorry to get off topic, but I just had to mention it.
Jedi Apprentice
I think I would just use a single instead anyways, but it would kind of give the double sided LS a multi-task in a sense. Isn't your current avatar from Starcraft: Ghost now leXX?
leXX
Indeed it is. That game can't come soon enough for me.
Eets
Hopefully there will be some sort of quickbar like there is in NWN, so you can switch from Double-bladed Saber to Single Saber quickly!
Guest Jed
That would be ideal Eets. But hey, I don't think that if you can't do this, I wouldn't think many people would mind.
Eets
I'll be using two sabers anyway ^_^
Taos
I'm still sticking with a double bladed lightsaber!
Tyrion
Wierd. Bioware has included dual-wielding before in thier games- Baldur's Gate II, and most recently Neverwinter Nights.
Toa Tahu
I guess I'd stick to single-saber.
leXX
I think I'll be using the double bladed too.
ultimaster
You can carry two single sabers then just use one right?? I don't know if I want to do that, but I want to have options at the same time.
dark jedi 8
yeah, it would be nice to have the option to change from wielding 2 or 1 saber to a double sabre, or vice versa. anyway, i'm probably gonna stick with the double bladed saber.
Jedi Apprentice
Well, I think I'll just have to try all of them...... I'll be with the single, blue first though.
Darth Zaius
I know this woulde probably not be possible in the game but I would love to have a curved lightsaber(red) and have spikes at the end (like desean in Jedi knight 2)

TheLiberator34
Why wouldn't you be able to use a single blade on a double saber. tactically it makes sense. You wouldn't want your prized weapon cut in half by some oportunistic sith wanabe right?

ultimaster
Its probably just too confusing to program or something. It does make tactical sense, but there are limits on what can/can't be done in a game. Or maybe it is something to do with the style of use. Who knows?? I'd rather have a single or two singles anyway.
