I'm gonna see X2 at the end of the week and I have high hopes, but I can't get over how many things they changed. I guess I'm just asking too much. The one thing that bugged me most about what I have seen (ie. not the movie) is that Nightcrawler didn't have a rapier, wore a trenchcoat, and the stinky smoke from his teleports didn't last long enough. I probably won't ever return to this thread so your comments will have next to no effect on me.

Ok so maybe Mystique can't do that but it doesn't say that for Morph's bio. And plus I SAW him do all these things in that one episode so maybe Morph is a more advanced version of Mystique??

ok this is how it goes with the shapeshifters. they are able to duplicate the mutants power if they are trained and focus enuff to do so. this is why Morph can do this and Mystique cannot. Mystique has no reason ( or training for that matter ) to even be able to use that power. her priorities are to infiltrate and get information. that is all. Morph however was focused enuff and trained by Xavier to the point to where he could also duplicate there powers as well.

YES!!! Quendi, good job cuz not a lot of people know what happened to jean grey, but u do and that's cool, someone who knows what's up, when did u know she was gonna turn into that? it hit me when i first saw her eyes fire up, i was like "oh my god, that's cool!"

As to whoever said it was Jean Gray, and her assumed form of Pheonix, who said that it wasn't a reflection on the water, and not actually her in the water, being simbiotic.

 

As for the movie, too littered with openings for X3. It was like it was a movie that left openings for another movie, no matter if this one bombed or not. Fairly funny mostly, a lot of jokes and stuff.

 

BUT, and it's a big but, as Sir Mixalot would say, it is too obvious in how it leaves many of the openings for X3. Usually you have the fans guessing, but this one is so obvious....

I will go see it next weekend for sure, I am stuck working all weekend wich vertually makes it impossible for me to go to the show.

I think I would go with the ability to heal, since I am not that tough in real life. I usaually win fights, but I fight dirty, especially when I am hopping mad. If I had that ability to heal, I would be invinceable!

Rogue is Mystiques daughter and was trained first by her and not Professor X. Rogue also got her powers from Ms Marvel first before the whole X-men thing. Major adjustment to the movie. Also Avalanche and Pyro were part of MYstiques gang with Rogue in comics and cartoons.

 

Jean Grey does die but is of course brought back and cloned on top of that. Very confusing but that is Marvel for ya. In this movie she does not die because you just don't do that.

 

Gambit is my favorite X-men with Colossus a close second. I cannot wait until the next one if in fact they get bigger roles.

 

Rhett does make the best reviews too so I will indeed wait for it too.

I loved the movie apart from, lack of nightcrawlers sword, nightcrawler is supposed to have some fur, lack of nightcrawler doing anything. Also I thought there would be more fights and defending of school.

 

Obviously nightcrawler is my favorite X-man

Wolverine is fluent with a ninja weapons IE: Katana's, Sai's stuff of that nature.
