Wes Marrakesh Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 DO NOT USE THE LEGEND OF ZELDA v2.0 THEME FOR WINXP!!!!!!!!!!!! I installed it, and BAM! This happened: I repeat, do not install this if you care about using your computer!
Darklighter Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Pic doesn't seem to be working, but I'm guessing it's pretty bad. Thanks for the heads up Wes:)

Acrylic Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Originally posted by ZBomber Can't you just restart it? Well, I guess so. You can also change the theme
Reborn Outcast Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 No it might not be that simple. It could be a virus or something but I doubt that...

Hekx Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Most probably ill-packaged. Looks like instead of a nice green, it's black and err yucky. Oh well. I stick to good old plain Windows ME. Desktop Themes are the shiznit.
BCanr2d2 Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 ME - Many Errors version of Windows, why even use it?! It's a cash cow they released, a half way step between 9x and XP.... Looks more like most of the colours have been changed to black, which makes most text impossible to read, unless you know what it says before hand.
Lunatic Jedi Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Hmm. That's weird. Well, I'll keep that in mind.

ME is the bastard sum of all that is teh suk about Microsoft. *shudders* I couldn't really see what was going on in the pic, or maybe I am just getting old and blind. Games now days are getting to be murder for the simple PC users. I prefer PC games to anything else, but it pisses me off that so many of them have such high requirements that, you have to have a high powered machine to run it. I think the PC game industry needs to re-think themselves, instead of caving in to hard core gamers.

I don't think the gaming industry is caving in to hardcore gamers at all...in fact, I think it's quite the opposite. Hardcore gamers usually care more about the gameplay than the graphics (like me), but all the pretty sparkly effects attract more casual gamers to buy the games, IMHO. Anyway, I've resisted doing a major system upgrade for three years...the only thing I've upgraded is my graphics card and my hard disk. Anyway...back on topic... As for that screen theme thingy...well, sorry to hear about your problem. I've had my own screen go funny a few times because of some stupid problem, and it sucks. Hope you can get it sorted, Wes.
C'jais Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Let me tell you of when I installed styleXP. Every taskbar and little button in windows blacked out completely. I couldn't see where I was clicking, I could only see if a new window popped up. Imagine disabling the damn thing when you're essentially blind - took many tries and lots of placement-memorization, but lexx and I got the job done in the end. Bah, this is nothing compared to that harrowing experience. I'm still scarred this very day.
Mex Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 It's happened to me before, it took over an hour to sort it out.
