Morrowind

(A topic? By me? I think hell's temperature just lowered a degree ^_~)

Just got the game Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind a few days ago, courtesy of the wonderful Rogue15. :D 'Tis a very lovely game. Who else here plays/has played it? (I know R15, Admiral, Deac and my brother do. ^_^) Wondering what everyone thinks of it. And we needed a Morrowind topic anyway. (Rogue15, what's up with that? Unless you made one and I missed it :D)

I don't remember making one, probably cause whenever I make a topic it goes to hell within 5 replies.

Morrowind is really addicting. I have 4 characters, my main one, Kioet is realy freaky and awesome. I have the Xbox version, so i can't play the mods but I hear the expansion is coming out on xbox which is called the goty edition of morrowind and includes both morrowind and the expansion in 1 game....should be interesting.

Kioet is at level 100 in longsword, his favorite magic ability is the toxic ring he ripped off a mage....he pretty much killed all the commoners in Vas which really got him to level up, kinda sick but funny at the same time (he'll just go right up to someone and if they don't like him they get the finger....which has the toxic ring on it) Kioet is an Argonian, he was in the fighters guild for a little bit, but when he couldn't find the 2 assassins in the caldera mine (he killed one and took the nice shield and longbow he had), he just decided to go explore the grazelands and on his way he came across a shrine, which an orc was guarding, after fighting for about an hour, Kioet was wearing orcish armor and decided to go inside the shrine and that's what turned him insane, after he killed everyone in the shrine and took everything, he needed to test out his new skillz, so off to grazelands where everybody he saw...perished. After that he spent a couple days trying to get back to balmorra to clear his bounty of 13k...on his way back he came across a few other shrines, where he collected a glass helm, glass halberd, steel shardslayer, and a bunch of other weapons, when he got to balmorra he ran into the armorer shop to get his armor repaired, but the guy didn't want to deal w/him and the guard that he didn't see tried to kill him, so out comes the ring and they both died and Kioet repaired his armor and weapons, then headed straight to the thieves guild and joined it and got his name cleared...for free (dropped his money in the hallway and ripped that guy off). heheheehe now he's like 'time to do this all over again!!'

my other characters are Zey, a female imperial, Drey, a male imperial, and alcarohtar, a dark elf. Haven't used them much though.

Morrowind has to be the most addicting game I have.

I have morrowind, and I'm not very good at it at the moment.. ^_^ I am only level 6 and I'm an orc, his name is ocr [lol] and he enjoys killing people who want to talk to him.

He has killed everyone in the dren plantation and the avrel plantation and got about 10000 gold from doing that, and he returned back to town triumphantly, only to accidently kill a guard and gotten killed..

Speaking of morrowind.. *Runs off to Xbox*

Yes. It Morrowind Game of the Year (GoTY). It will be released shortly after bloodmoon. GoTY is for X-box users and will have Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. It also means that there are probably no more expansions for Morrowind.

My current character is Vidar. After arrival on the island he immediatly set out for greatness and riches. Before leaving Seyda Neen he already had well over 1000 gold coins. To get his feet wet he joined the Fighters Guild. After making some money there he journeyed by foot to Gnisis and joined the Imperial Legion.

Vidar advanced quickly in the Legion and is now running it and the fighters guild. Vidar is a wanderer. Often he would just leave town for a time and wander around. This has given him some headaches. Through his travels he has meet Jessica, a Nord slave. A nord in slavery was unacceptable, so he freed Jessica and since then the two have become very close. Finally Vidar has accepted an apprenticship. (did I mention I like mods)

Currently he is playing an instrumental role in the construction of Asgard. Often finding things to improve and giving me headaches through a multiude of suggestions.

Vidar is normally dressed in full ebony armor. To often though he forgets his helmet at home. He is an avid collector of armor. He displays his collection at home on mannequins (really love mods). There he has about every complete set of armor. He is also on the look out for a set of ebony to give Jessica.

I haven't played it yet, but 15 keeps talking about it so I took a look at it the other day and I didn't have money. I think I'll have another look at it though. :)

Especially, if you guys are saying it's half way decent. :)

I love how much you can customize everything. And I really like the world in the game. I have two characters, and I abandoned one, as I only created her because Rogue15 told me I should "get a feel" for the game as one character, then restart as a better one. (Although since I'm describing it as "abandoned", you can tell I feel guilty about it, which means I'll probably go back and play with her as well :D)

My current character, Chere, is based off a character I created for a comicbook universe with the ability to move with incredible speed. How does this translate to Morrowind? Speed major attribute, athletics major skill, born under the sign of the Steed. ^_^ She prefers light armor, although her race (Redguard - the nice thing was that they had a face that looked almost exactly like the 'real' Chere, even though she ended up about three heads taller than she should be) has a natural bonus for medium and heavy armor. She currently has a set of Chitin armor. She hasn't even gotten around to following her first orders yet, though - i.e. going to Balmora to deliver a package - instead killing outlaws, raiding tombs, and, er, slaughtering the indigenous wildlife. :D She had over 5k gold and spent it on training (she now has almost 1k again). She's at level 6.

She's stolen quite a bit, but never got caught. And never killed anyone who's innocent - she does have some moral code ^_~ She's explored alot of the Bitter Coast and is currently at Fort Pelagiad, looking for...trouble, basically. ;) Trying to find this interesting (and unpopular) rogue who claims she stole his heart by letting him kiss her. (Chere: *snerk*) All this, and I've barely even started the game. :D Halfway decent? I think I'm tending to agree with Rogue15 and Admiral. ^__^

In other news, Jared is already planning to make a super character via cheats. :D:p;)

I bought it a couple of weeks ago after an msn convo with 15. I'm really glad he talked me into getting it, I love it. It's an awesome game. I'm still really crap at it though atm because I haven't had the chance to play it much. :D

I walked into a shop and was pretty poor at the time, so I decided to kill the shop keeper and steal his clothes and everything in the shop because noone was looking. I came out the shop and stopped to talk to someone and they said something along the lines of "I know who you are, you have a reputation and a price on your head. Go away before I call the guards". I thought wtf? How the hell does he know? All the people in the town knew what I had done and wouldn't speak to me lol. Talk about gossip spreading like wildfire!!

Let me get this straight. Now there's a videogame where I can escape from my real life of living in the countryside of Oregon, where I walk around with a sword, into a cyberscape fantasy of an exotic...countryside where I get to...walk around with a sword?

:dozey: Hmm.

Lexx: You have now officially gone mad. It's a select club...feel free to use the tennis courts, but stay away from Lynk. None of us truly know what's wrong with him. :D

Yes Zoom, however there you can kill annoying and only have to pay some money to get off. Or if they through the first punch then you can kill them and the guards won't care.

You also can vist the senic island of Asgard and soon Vanaheim. (not to mention wenches))

Heh, I went mad years ago Zoomy, ask anyone. ;) I've tried staying away from Lynk, but alas I'm madly in love with the evil little sod. :D

My character...funnily enough...

Is Deac Starkiller, an Imperial Knight and defender of justice. The highest bounty he ever had was 5000 after he killed all of the Cammona Tong, which was cleared by the Legion, which he is The Knight of The Imperial Dragon in. He is the leader of House Redoran and has three houses, one in Balmora (which was leant to him), his Redoran stronghold, and a mansion in Mournhold formely owned by an evil mage. He uses his own enchanted claymore, named "Victory of Starkiller" (I'd just won Tribunal). Now he spends his free time plundering daedric ruins and freeing slaves. Next target: The Dren Plantation.

Morrowind Rules.

Where can I find that mod?

I've done the plantation already, I just went back to free the slaves. Now, I've found a greater mystery.

After getting the puzzle cube from the Dwemer ruin of Arkangthand (?), Hasphat Anabolis (the guy who wants it) gives you a key to the lower levels. There I found a kay called "Ancient Dwemer Key" but no door for it. I then checked out another Dwemer ruin (can't remember the name, has two guys from the Mage Guild, look on the paper map you got with the game and it's above the captial "A" of Molag Amur) I found a dead guy with a book that was written in ancient elvish and dwarfish, along with two other of these mysterious keys. After checking out all the other Dwemer ruins on the map, I have found no other keys and no other door for them.

Can anyone help me solve this Mystery of The Dwarves?

I finally found a door that one of the keys opened!

In the ruin of Nchdumz (?) (It's the small one NW of the shrine of Azura) I found another ancient key and a door that it opened, finding a room with a glowing crystal I coulnd't do anything with.

Ergo, there are two more doors somewhere. ANyone know where?

I suggest you go to the official forums and do a quick search for dwarves. You should probably find what you need. (In the spoiler forum for Morrowind)

By the way, I got Bloodmoon: It is great. I love it and it fixes an annoying map bug. (where if you add new islands during a game you cannot see them)
