I've been having thoughts... musings, if you will, about what your favourite sit-com is? Now, I know some of the options on here are British, and therefore Americans won't know them as well, but I'm sure you like one of the ones up here.

i like britcoms. 'chef' is really sarcastic, 'ab fab' the women are scary over the top. 'as time goes by 'judy dench' is so funny, 'keeping up appearances' (never get to see son sheridan too bad. Onslo is cool) the department one 'are you being served' i think man thay show was on a long time and the elder woman always seemed to be in it. fawlty towers was so god like. too bad they only let them make 12 i believe it was. i like american sitcoms cheers was great, i watch friends sometimes it is funny. 3rd rock from the sun is a fav sitcom of mine.

the worst shows of all times are :

Felicity, Ally McBeal, Dawsons Creek,

and both old and new Degrassi high.

(man if i were a male star of that show i would quit)

cause there main sponsor is Tampex

'cause being a girl rocks!'

what about Vasoline?

'cause masterbating in the bathroom rocks!'

I mean equal time for guys too.:D

But I like Still Game (sit-com about a group of O.A.P.'s in Glasgow-quality!)

Wow, i'm with this guy :D

I don't laugh :) No seriously, I like friends, fawlty towers etc, but it's not that I really need to watch them or something. I don't really have a favorite...

And it's a bit stupid to compare those English comedies to the American one, they are so totally different. American comedies usually have some kind of *sigh* morale, while the English comedies are often plain slapstick...

Sitcoms? LOL, I've heard of this term many times yet i still don't know the meaning. Since I din't know what it means im gonna have to go with CK on this one. That show is damn hilarious. Is Smallville a sitcom? If it is Id have to go with that one too.

UsetheFORX -

The term 'sit-com' means a situation comedy programme. Taking an everyday thing like family life, working in a shop. ect. and writing a comedy series around that base. Smallville is NOT a situation comedy, far from it. That show is a drama/action series, boadering on science fiction because of Clark Kent's powers.
