Joshi Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Okay, so this is getting really annoying and at the same time consistent. I'm not sure if it's the new battle Hacks thing or the server, ro whatever, but every day, at about 8:30 - 9:00pm GMT Lucasforums goes down and I cannot access anything on Lucasforums. Therefore in between me posting, sometimes everything just stops and I can't do anything. This has caused me to cease posting in some places altogether because I simply don't have the time or the chance. As I work or have a social life during the day, this is the only time in the day that I am able to post (and this hurts me being a Mod to). Is there anything you can do? Peace Neil

LF has always been like that, independent of what version software we run, configuration options, or server. I don't have control over it.

Redwing Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Actually, it may be because of three factors: A) Battle mod getting people to post more. B) New Jedi Academy posters. C) New KotOR posters. Wasn't there an upgrade recently (non-battle mod related?) or was I hallucinating?

But, still, I haven't seen many people on the thing at the bottom. It just seemed like the normal ammount of people. Also, if it was the fault of the upgrade, why are we using it? Is it an upgrade, or a degrade?

matt-- Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 Well, if one of you that owns a vBulletin license wants to completely rewrite the battle hack (practically from scratch) to be compatible with vB3 and send it my way, I'll consider it. I don't have the time or the patience. We'll upgrade to vB3 after it's been out for a short time, to make sure it's got some of the larger bugs worked out.

HertogJan Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 Hopefully faster LF allways has been slow, can't blame 'em, lots of member and visitors, lots of bandwith and space needed to run these kind of forums... But yeah, I wish the battle mod was gone, would help a lot I think... But it's better than the spam with the points system
