BigTeddyPaul
First time I am elligible to vote and Mr. Schwarzenegger (you try spelling that correctly if I got it wrong) gets my vote. Davis, our current gov, is an asshat . We also have that Hustler man and approx 2 porn queens running too. California life is good. Redwing
As a proud Californian, I can firmly say "It's about time." We should have done this long ago. I mean, we're far better than the rest of those "Americans" out there - and we have nicer beaches, too! New Mexico? Why on earth would they declare war on us? Prrft. Datheus
Originally posted by MydnightPsion In the immortal words of Homer Jay Simpson, You're all nuts. There was an episode. That was the joke. He only knew the initial. Then he finally figured out his middle name and it was "Jay"... Anyway. I say we just throw all candidates into a pit and let them duke it out. Whoever comes out alive gets the seat of Governor. Either that or we pray a Tool-esque apocolypse. See the Aenima album for details... Can this seriously end well? Maybe they're smarter than I give them credit for. I can only hope... At least California is already FUBAR. I 'spose they can't do much damage. Datheus
Yeah... I considered that... I was thinking maybe giving everyone except Arnold a taser and mace... Just to make it fair... Better yet, why don't we get some REAL candidates Imagine that! This country is going to hell in a handbasket
BCanr2d2
Well, it is a recall election.... Time for some Arnie "Total Recall".... His re-election motto or concession speech "I'll be back" It's already written for him.... But Coleman when talknig about corruption and embezzlement "What ya talking 'bout?" Datheus
Ow. That hurts my head. You thought about that too much BC. And that brings me to another well traveled topic? Why don't we recall Bush -_- I think it'd be COOL to have Arnold as president. Can you imagine his speech after 9/11? Oh, that would have been to die for. BCanr2d2
Arnie can't be Prez, he was born in Austria..... I don't think that the rest of the world would've like Arnie as President anyway, he seems to have a penchant for blowing things up.... * Thinks to himself that he's happy not to live in the USA........ txa1265
You know ... I knew this would start a sh*tstorm when I posted it - but after playing Postal 2 the irony of Gary Coleman ... I couldn't resist ... Mike
Elegy
Yeah, this state isn't going to hell in a handbasket. It's already there. California's cost of living is through the roof. I have friends in Michigan and Utah who just moved out of their parents'. One found a two bedroom apartment for $300 a month, the other found a 2-bedroom town house for $400 a month. We pay over $800 a month on the rent for our house, and back in the apartments we used to live in we were paying about $700. I'm told the gas in Michigan costs around $1.65 for the cheap 87 octane. 87 octane gas is running for $1.80 over here in California. We're paying premium prices for low-grade gas. The good stuff is over $2.00 a gallon. My mustang gets a whopping 10 miles to the gallon (although it should be getting more like 17). I'm thinking of buying one of those hondas with the soddy lawnmower engines that go 0-60mph in 10 years just to save on gas. It's just too damned expensive here. George Bush can hardly do a normal speech in English too, and HE likes to blow things up even more than Arnie
Eldritch
It's got nothing to do with the way he speaks, HJ. You might not know it, but there's a provision in our Constitution that basically says "To be president you have to be born on US land."
