I'm back!

Recommended Posts

Today I arrived back in Hungary!

I got my xbox last weekend. I got KotOR and Rayman 3 along with it. Before leaving America I played 10 to 12 hours of KotOR (not including the games that I restarted). I just became a Jedi Guardian, and I am really loving it! I would have to say that if it keeps on going like it is currently, I might even end up liking it more than BG2. My current two favorite characters are Mission and Big Z. I can't wait till I get HK-47 though.

The bad part is that I mistakenly thought I could get a transformer at a store in the US. I couldn't. So I won't be able to play KotOR for a while because I don't have a transformer. I will hopefully have one in a week or so though. In the mean time I will be checking out Under a Killing Moon. :)

Oh, and Fig was happy to see me again. ;)

Earlier this summer you said that you wouldn't post so much when you were in the US. If almost 200 posts is "not so much", for you, I fear what will happen when your "back in full force", as I think that you put it earlier. :eyeraise:

Hehe...

I used to get around 100 a week. ;)

BTW, I just tried to install The Pandora Directive and Under a Killing Moon. I was unable to get Under a Killing Moon working, but I did get The Pandora Directive working. Now I have something to tied me over until I get a transformer. :)

Hey! I beleive that only Garyos, Tamara, Jaf, and you are ahead of me. That is pretty good considering when I started posting here. Garyos is hardly here anymore. Tamara seems to be posting less, and I haven't a clue what Jaf is doing. I was slowly gaining on you. I am actually sort of glad that AGers was down this summer. I would have fallen way behind if it was up.

I live in Budapest. Right in the heart of the city in fact.

Ginny, Microsoft cut the price of xbox to match the price of the PS2 around E3. Xbox is now $179.99, or something like that. I didn't get any special deals, so that is what I payed.

I remember i wanted to ask you this some time ago, when i saw what you've had written under your location: "american living in Hungary"... :)

I am here because my parents are missionaries with Free Methodist World Missions. I have been here for the last three years and will remain here for two more years (which is when I graduate from high school).

I've always meant to ask, actually .. I mean, why Hungary? It isn't exactly some godforsaken place? What dyou do, try to convert the natives and stuff? :) Not trying to sound flip, but really, why do they need missions from outside?

Good question. I personally don't like the term "missionary". I think it give the implacation of someone deep in the heart of South America working with a tribe of natives that have never had contact with the outside world. That isn't it at all. What they actually do is work with university students as well as church planting. As far as, "why do they need missions from outside," goes, it is really quite simple. There are actually very few Christians in Hungary (like most of the countries that the Soviets used to control). The goal is to plant chruches so their is no need for us. In other words, work yourself out of a job.

Funny, Europeans missioned in America (both North and south) and now they go back and mission on us! :)

Luckily I am an atheist! ;)

And btw, I think you are becoming the incarnation of *both* phil and jaf. Not even a bot would come near your posting count. :D

Nowadays I keep a bazooka with me at all the times in case a weird American comes to me and says: "Believe in One True Loving God or Die!"

Of course, if there's more than ten of them things get a little tricky.

EDIT: Cleaning the mess, I mean.

Top poster? Think again.

*Grabs Homoludens hair and puts his face in front of my post count*

Y'see that you're gonna have to post twice as much to be top poster :D.
