all the airsoft pistols I have seen were around 150 at

That's 'cause the guns you were looking at were either electric or gas.

Spring guns tend to be cheap. That's because it's normally good for a player who wants to get a feel for an airsoft gun.

But that's the gun I want...the real version anyway...desert eagle mark XIX...i'm gonna get the .50 AE

Only a low low cost of 1500 dollars.:D

I got a .44 de for around 800 (new) at a local gun show.

If you hit them as opposed to retail gun stores you can usually get them for a few hundred cheaper.

I've seen 50 cals for as low as 1100.

The main reason I chose .44 over .50 is the ammo.

50 cal ammo is kind of a pain to get anywhere other than gun stores but .44 ammo is sold pretty much anywhere (wal-mart, etc.)

But is it made out of metal and all?...or is it some cheap plastic?

Normally the guns are made with metal and plastic. I'll say this in hierarchial order: gas guns - electric guns - and spring guns. Gas guns are the most powerful, but are restricted only to pistols and sub-machine guns, such as the Mac-11. These are semi-auto to auto. The electric guns can be pistols, sub-machine guns, and machine guns. The machine guns include the M16, MP5 series, SR series, and much more. AEGs (automatic electric guns) can be upgraded to go as fast as a gas gun. THe spring guns include pretty much the same as the electric guns, except that you need to cock the gun before each shot. Also a spring gun is relatively weak.

Isn't the .50 more powerful though?...I want max power lol...rounds aren't cheap though..like 25 bucks for a box of 20.

well yes there is a *huge difference between say a 9 mm round and a .50 round but the difference between a .44 and a .50 is not that great.

Both are going to (pardon the expression) **** **** up.

The price of ammo for either is not cheap.

My .44 is an Israeli Military Industries model and you have to be *very careful with the brand of ammo you use.

Cheap reloads and low quality crap can and will damage your gun.

So not only are you buying an expensive type of ammo, you have to pay even more for the best quality in that cal. so as to not ruin your gun.

Airsoft Atlanta, under spring pistols, thats where mine is. Spring are the WORST type of airsoft. But sense its my first... :)

Another Airsoft site, I'm on a Colt 1911/M19 fetish, that site is cheap and has some sweet guns.

Redwolf Airsoft is probably one of the best I've seen.

UnCompany has a *HUGE* selection of weapons, custom ones, EXPENSIVE/beautiful guns. If you've got muchos muchos moneyos, goto UnCompany and buy buy buy!

Enjoy!

EDIT: I figured for those of you who've never seen one fire, here is the new Marui Desert Eagle .50AE Hard Kick.

Save-Target As.
