GUNNER
First one was a Gateway P100 with 16mg ram and a 1 gig harddrive. We were hot **** back then. It also cost over 3K. Then it was a PIII Katmai 550 that I over clocked to 620ish. Still have it. Then a PIII 700 that I over clocked to 933, still have it. Then a P4 1.6A ghz tha tI over clocked to 2.1.. Still have it. Now I have a P4 1.8A ghz that I have over clocked to 2.5 I have had it to 2.7 with no problems. It kicks ass with my Ti4400 card and modded out case. BTW. If it doesn't over clock it's not worth buying.
Surfnshannon
How would you go about "clocking" it?
Sivy
over-clocking a processor is done by changing the settings in the bios, or with older computers by changing some jumpers on the motherboard. of course the risk is over-heating so you have to be sure your fan/ heatsink is up to it. Zoomie, your ass is grass with my duel Clan Ultra AC 20's in my shadowcat ----------- Oh yeah btw: I figured out why my putar wasn't working surpiringly i forgot to put in those nice copper risers to keep the motherboard from touching that nice aluminum plate. So i can say taht my first board is infact toast, and i know for a fact that my first power supply was also gone (500watt!!) luckly i didnt change my power suppy when i put in my new board, so... HORRAH! ^_^ damn, i have lots of things to do before i can get to installing stuff on my new putar ^_^
