  1. There seems to be. Haven't done this yet though: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2060130/discussions/0/5241649843399175667/
  2. Since it was deactivated from the start, I assumed it was the worse way to play. Time for a replay, I guess! Does I add a lot? Obviously it's not just dialogue, but new scenes as well
  3. By the way, I've played on hard, did the part where old pirate leaders hang around Melee town, and Guybrush initially mistakes them for the Men of Low Moral Fibre (as seen in one of the MI Monday videos) , appear in easy mode? I never got that scene.
  4. The funniest detail about the three pirates from the MI1 cover was the fact that one of them actually still wore the belt with "PURCELL" on it. Also, as soon as I entered the prison and saw everone wearing striped prison uniforms, I said to myself, "The only logical thing to do is to have Stan have stationary stripes, like his plaid jacket", and bingo, there it was. Music-wise they've referenced a lot of classic tracks, like the diving theme from MI2, each time Guybrush was underwater and obviously the love theme when Guybrush and Elaine shared the screen. Also, I'm sure I heard at least one track from ToMI referenced somewhere.
  5. Honestly, I'd feel a lot better of this discussion could be moved to its own thread.
  6. Man, I played that Prologue smiling all the way through. What a clever and charming way to deal with MI2. Playing on the Switch, the controls are super smooth. Perfect way to translate P&C to a controller. I'm still early in the game, so I'll stay off any reviews for now. I don't even want to know any review scores, so that it won't influence my impressions in any way. Going to drop the girl off at the Kindergarten now, and then using my day off to get back to the game!
  7. Successfully moved my day off from Monday to Tuesday. Bring it on!
  8. New arrival (not yet sure how to tackle this one):
  9. Fucking shit. I took Monday off, and now it releases in the evening?
  10. Excellent interview, indeed! I think the only question I would have added would be if Tim was ever considered to be included in the project in some way.
  11. I'm not going to bring it up any more. But I'm holding out hope for a surprise reveal of his poster closer to release.
  12. I guess I could justify $50 for a physical 2-pack, max.
  13. The 90s were a time when, to me, it felt like George was basically hands-off SW. He created a sandbox for other people to play in, and that's what the EU did.
  14. That's what I liked about the concept of ToMI, because it was in fact just a collection of different "Tales" from the MI universe (at least it could have worked that way). And that's exactly why I'd love for ToMI to continue, because it could just go on to tell independent adventures in that world.
  15. All the novels aside, this was probably my absolute favorite SW book ever: This was years before the prequels, so it didn't give shit about canon (plus it just re-purposed McQuarrie's unused concept art for its own stories), but to 12-year-old me THIS was the much-needed glance into the corners of the SW universe not seen in the films. And it wasn't about action or great adventures, it was written in the form of travel diaries by "explorers", describing the lives of regular people in the SW universe, something I'm an absolute sucker for. Also, it had that amazing 70s sci-fi style that McQ's art just oozed with. (Plus, my copy got signed by David Prowse - not that it has anything to do with Vader).
  16. Makes sense then. In that case, he was a great pick for LeChuck.
  17. Who is voicing the first (leftmost) pirate leader in the latest clip? Because he reminds me a LOT of Earl Boen.
  18. Now let's get Mojo's army of hackers to crack the game open. I'd settle for a soundtrack rip for now.
  19. The first half hour of KotCS was superb. It went downhill once they left for South America.
  20. Haven't seen Dune, don't care. Another biopic? Nah. Fabelmans might be interesting, but it hardly excites me. I guess the last time I've been excited for an upcoming movie was The Force Awakens, but that's been pretty much driven into a wall. TV Star Wars got me more, but let's see if they can match Mando S1/S2 with either S3 or Andor/Ahsoka. BoBF and Obi were quite underwhelming for the most part I guess Indy gives me the most hope to see one last hurrah to classic 80s/90s cinema.
  21. There is literally nothing coming up in cinemas that excites me. Not a single movie I am looking forward to. Except for Indy.
  22. While I've been planning to give Peter Chan's Star Wars DOTT artwork a make-over at some point, LRG's announcement of DOTT Remastered somehow put this on the fast lane. I wasn't really convinced by the poster they decided to include, so I got down to business, planning to offer them a new print-ready version of the art as an option. How could they say no to that? Well, while LRG seemed to be interested, Disney ultimately wasn't. So, here's the result of this effort, adding a much-needed improvement over my old version, both in terms of colors and detail. No more artficial brush strokes and oversharpened edges to suggest detail. I even separated the color channels of the scan to fix the severe alignment issues the Adventurer print suffered from, removing the color fringes and blurry edges caused by that. A few comparisons (at 70% size, enough to show the differences):
  23. I've had that blown-away moment once, and it was probably one of the best ones you can get with movies: The Sixth Sense. We knew nothing about the movie, just that it's a Bruce Willis flick. Holy cow! But that was 1999... by now it's been done and done, and even a good twist wouldn't necessarily "blow me away".
