this question has been ask a million times. i don't want to keep repeating myself everytime someone asks so i decided to create a thread to explain how to do this. sivy b taught me in the past and now i will spread my knowledge to all of you guys that don't know how.
it's really quite easy, first you need a good gif making program, like movie gear (http://www.moviegear.com it's a 30 day trial). you play with quicktime and when you see a scene you like, press the print screen key and then paste it into paint or whatever you use. then go back to the trailer and advance frame by frame, and paste each of them into paint, make sure you crop them all the same size. then load them into your gif making program, resize it and save as gif. if you need to reduce the size then you can reduce the number of colors, see if there are any frames that you can delete without effecting the animation and also most gif making programs have an optimize option that will reduce the size also.
it's going to be hard at first but you will get the hang of it and you'll find it really easy. so look for scenes thats unique and just have fun with it.

it was from the game jedi battles. i downloaded the trailer from lucasarts.com and made it into an av.

go to starwars.com they have alot of movie trailers there. also try getting scenes from game trailers. i got mine from jedi battles. the new game bounty hunter and knights of the old republic have a few good scenes. check it out at lucasarts.com.

the reason why i brought up this discussion because there are times when i make an av where the size that i have exceeds more than the 20,000 bytes expectation and go over it by a few hundred kb. i hate it when that happens. i've done everything croping, optimizing, reducing colors, and taking a few frames out. and it just messes up everything. it reduces the quality of your av and you feel like giving up.

padanime do you remember when i asked you before where did you get that yoda scene and you said you got it from an aotc screen release. can you be more specific like what site can i get it from. because i'm trying to make an av with yoda in it and i can't find any epii trailer with yoda.

i got to go with 3rd person view definetly. you are more aware of your environment from incoming projectiles or sneaky little b@st3rds tryin to get you from behind. i hate those kind of players.

you know what would be good. if the admins adjust the limitations of custom avatars. editing the lenght and the size is the hardest part i think. they should increase the limit of the lenght and the size of custom avs. it will be much easier for av creators out there.
80x80-100x100 and 30,000-50,000 bytes sounds good. what do you think???????

Well, i don't know if there are any Natalie Portman fans in here. so here we go.
To tell you the truth i have a little infactuation over Natalie Portman. but can you blame me. she is HOT!!!! tell me if there is any young actress thats hotter than her. i don't think there is.
i fell in love with her in The professional. i prefer the uncut version. one of my favorite movie of all time. she is an actress with an amazing talent. and i think she will go far in the business. at first i wasn't much of a star wars fan. but natalie was the reason why i started liking star wars. if it wasn't for her i don't think i would be a member here.
if i had one wish i would wish for one night with natalie and have my ways with her. after that i can die a happy man.
so i dedicate this thread to the one and only natalie portman.

you have to register and then you ca have access of any videos available there. Kazaa is also a good source of videos. by the way your av is looking good. how many frames do you have in it??? it looks too fast add some more frames or slow down the speed.
