  1. So... after all that. Did the first 10 minutes live up to your expectations?
  2. Not sure I agree with that exactly Although I guess it depends if you're seeing them as reality or imaginings. Have you finished the game, then?
  3. Well MI2 was sort of shy about it, if you think about it. It revealed the theme park, but added the twist that it was a spell. I asked Ron and Dave specifically if MI2 was always the ending on Twitter, and they both said no. And Ron has alway thought of MI2's ending as something else. (As he describes in his PAX talk.) I think MI2's ending took an ingredient of the original "secret", but turned it into something different (although to us, as outsiders, it feels very similar). Until the game literally said, "yes, you're in a theme park", the secret wasn't fully revealed. My question for Ron would be: What was your explanation for having Guybrush turn into a child when you wrote MI2? Did you have one, or was it just a quirky way to end the game?
  4. Well, the twist was, of course, that she wasn't a damsel in distress in SOMI.
  5. Yep, but then she does also spend time talking to other characters... and in her fantasy she's cleaning up the mess GB has left behind and rescuing him.
  6. I'm interested in the two anonymous voters who said they didn't like the game...
  7. As this is written in Python 3, is a MacOS version easy to create?
  8. Yep, although Strange that her cauldron is back in that scene.
  9. After playing through ReMI a few times, I've begun to wonder about Guybrush and Elaine's relationship and I'd be keen to hear other thoughts. Is Elaine: A supporting, loving, equal partner? An enabler to her fantasist husband? A mothering partner to a childish husband? Sometimes they seem madly in love. At other times she seems to be tolerating, or even patronising, him. And what about her own fantasy (given the reveal): Yes, she's fighting scurvy in the Caribbean... but also spending her spare time clearing up Guybrush's messes, and having to rescue him. Is it a refreshing twist on the "man saves woman" trope (showing how capable she is) or something else? Is their relationship healthy? (Note: I'm only talking about its portrayal in ReMI.)
  10. Don't you see Elaine and Guybrush on a ship together?
  11. I know what you mean. I went back and forth on that second entry a LOT. I really struggling to come up with options for an ending that is designed to be uncompromising. (In the UK we'd call it a "Marmite" ending.) There doesn't seem room for lukewarm answers. Originally it read: "It was OK!". Maybe that read more upbeat. However the responses haven't been so polarising after all...
  12. 👕 I beat #Mojole #199 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 5/6 🖤🖤💛🖤🖤 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 🖤🖤🖤💛💛 💛💚💛🖤🖤 💚💚💚💚💚 https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/
  13. The ESC key is the one that brings up the red "no go" symbol.
  14. I've never seen anything checked off? Is there a screenshot? I've checked so many times and it's always empty to me...? Edit: Nevermind... just checked and everything but "Murder" and "Overstayed your welcome" is checked. Maybe there was a bug before!
  15. Yes, I still don't really understand why putting a painting next to a document proves you're someone... but I got there in the end. I guess the thing is: It doesn't really matter where the fish come from. I mean Guybrush placed all the fish in the bucket to begin with. So it sort of makes sense, so long as Guybrush IS eating said fish... provided you're naive and not looking for foul play! I found it harder to believe that the man who got you to sign your name on the document, saw your coronated, would then believe that you had a different name. (I also struggled with Ned's fear of Stan... If he'd been afraid of Stan turning him in to save his own skin, that would have made more sense to me. Kinda.)

  17. Was that even a puzzle? The only time it's been rejected was when I selected "I'm a pirate". I've never been rejected for anything else... even just submitting a blank form. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be fiendishly difficult or just a joke? Ah yes! The way the inventory treated that particular item was confusing... It would have helped a lot if Guybrush had said, "And I still have a ton left over!" after filling the bucket in the room.
  18. Yes! I think I solved this by pure accident. Really confused me.
  19. Bahhhhhhh (worked great) My middling Return to Monkey Island trivia game score: 20/100 MojoMeter: 💚🖤🖤🖤🖤 https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/RemiTrivia/
  20. Yeah, I was wondering about that... something about the plants, and where they grow? *shrugs*
  21. Oh dear! What a shame. BTTF3 is so often maligned, that I assumed you weren't a fan. There's still time
  22. Just to add, that I would hope this, too! He's always been very forthright and honest (IMHO), so I imagine he will, once everyone has had a chance to digest ReMI.
  23. I tried giving him everything, too. Even before fighting for the key (which I think should have been hidden under a blanket, because on my first playthrough I missed everything else in that room -- I digress). No luck though. He's stuck down there (until Elaine rescues him).
