vegietto Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 yoda is the best jedi and the most powerful but in battle i think mace is the best jedi, i mean anakin is pretty strong but he think he can take on anybody when he can't he couldn't beat yoda if he tries and he must get lucky to beat mace in battle
Shado Vorn Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I think Anakin knows better than to think he can take on everybody, but I also think that he has that lust for power that would enable him to actually do so. He knows his limits, he's just so damn hard-headed that he ignores his limitations sometimes.

I don't think he does i think he thinks he is the best i mean look at AOTC he charges head on into Court Dooku and he payed for it too. i think he thinks he is even better than Yoda, when he couldn't beat him if he wanted too
Pedro The Hutt Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 That, and he even told Padmé back on Coruscant right before leaving that "in some ways.... alot of ways" that he's ahead of Obi-Wan. I can't wait for Master Kenobi to prove him wrong in the next movie. XD
Shado Vorn Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 True and true. I like to think that Anakin is cocky, and wouldn't admit defeat if his life depended on it, but I also believe that he does deep down know his limits. He knows he can't beat Yoda (right now), but he thinks that if he is strong enough, he eventually will be able to defeat anyone who opposes him. (Hence the fall to the dark side, or at least a part of it) Don't get me wrong, I know Obi's going to get medievil on Anakin in E3. He has it coming lol. I still think Anakin/Vader is the best, and Obi is my second favorite. I'm not voting on these two because of their power, or their lightsaber skills, but I'm voting on how they affected me during the movies. I like their characters the most, hence the reason I think they are the best. As far as voting for skill goes, Obi's undefeated ... technically. So wouldn't that make him the best? After all ... he did let Vader kill him. If Obi hadn't done that, I'm willing to bet that the only way Obi would have died is through old age and will of the Force er something.

Shado Vorn Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 I remember now. Thanks for clearing it up, LiMP RABBiT.

Joetheeskimo Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 I always admired Obi Wan. He's always calm, and he's a good dueler. Although I got a little annoyed with him when he talked trash to Anakin at the beginning of the movie.
Druid_Allanon Posted December 1, 2003 Posted December 1, 2003 I'm not certain that Obi-Wan is a great Jedi. I would say he's about the average Jedi, and they can barely beat Siths. Look at TPM, Obi-Wan nearly lost to Maul, he would have died if not for Maul being confident and taking his own sweet time to kill Obi-Wan. However I like him for his great humor though. He makes me laugh at times.
Lynk Former Posted December 1, 2003 Posted December 1, 2003 Yeah but also note back when he beat Maul he was only an apprentice @ joe: actually Anakin was talking trash to him and he was putting the boy in his place.

Still...in a sense, Anakin was correct in what he was saying. But I suppose you're right.
Lynk Former Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 It didn't matter if he was right or wrong, it was disrespectful to his master for questioning him in front of everyone.
leXX Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 WHY? WHAT? Yeah, he deserved a good bitch slapping cheeky sod.

LAMER!!! but seriously.. obi-wan was winning before the force push. obi-wan rules, oh yeah!
Hermie Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 your all time favorite green muppet. (for the last time, NOT KERMIT!) but Obi kick ass too
vegietto Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 i agree Obi-Wan was putting Anakin in his place for talking trash. I also agree Obi kicks ass. I think everyone knows that Obi-Wan is one of the greastest jedi only after yoda and mace windu to me. He killed Maul cause Maul was too Stupid to finish him off quick so it is his fault.
