Sam Fisher
You should get Netscape 7.1 or Opera. They are very good pop-up eliminators.

edlib
Yes,.. the Google toolbar is your friend! I also use WebWasher: http://www.webwasher.com/client/download/private_use/index.html?lang=de_EN (Free download) It blocks popups, scripts, and all manner of banner ads as well. I see no ads here when I have it active. It causes some sites to freak out though, so that's why I also use the Google bar (plus, you get a handy Google search function too...) toms
I can highly recommend Avant Browser http://www.avantbrowser.com/ which is a really cool shell for IE that basically gives it the functionality of opera (way better than IE) without having to worry about those pages that only work in IE. It probably isn't as good as some dedicated popup stoppers, but it is pretty good, also stops those annoying flash popups and is by far the best browser out there.... Tyrion
I like to use Slimbrowser. Google to found out what it(or enter Slimbrowser on Download.com) Built-in pop-up stopper and even tabbed browsing!(So all the different windows are within the browser itself) Edit- and the last time I installed the Google Toolbar I was loaded with spyware.. toms
avant browser does tabbed browsing too... and also has the most useful feature any brower can have (and the one I still can't believe they haven't implemented in IE). If it crashes, next time you start it it gives you the option to start browsing where you left off. Genius! (by opera) if like me you browse with about 10 windows at once and the browser crashing can take you 20 minutes to get back to where you were...
