well today is american thanksgiving, (not for canadians) we celebrate our thanksgiving on columbus day in october. anyhow for american forum members today is their day. they have football i believe, a macey parade with giant cool ballon creatures floating in the air, and turkey. they also have that get to gether and annoy and be annoyed by relatives. (and only a month later) they will do it all again for x-mas. at any rate there are lots of movies in theaters, and no school, so maybe the forums will be hoping cause loads of swampies have the day off.

anyhow gobble gobble american swampies!

Why do they have the Thanksgiving Macy's Day Parade in New York? New York is just full of people from other countries that have no idea what we're celebrating. Can you imagine poor some Japanese guy attending this thing and seeing a giant Barney balloon floating down the street?

*japanese guy pointing in air, scared*

"Is Godzilla! Godzilla!"

Interestingly enough, http://www.gobblegobble.com is selling smoked turkey!

And since Darth Eggplant is having difficulty with google, the first entry on google for "Turkey" that wasn't "the Republic of" is http://www.butterball.com where you can get some really cool recipies ;)

The National Wild Turkey Association (nope... not that Wild Turkey... put the glass down) is on http://www.nwtf.org

But "everthing you ever wanted to know about turkey" is on http://www.eatturkey.com :D

For those of you that are interested in the country of Turkey, try http://www.about-turkey.com

Happiest of Thanksgivings to you, regardless of where you are in the world. It's one of the only American holidays I love to share with my non-American friends.... I've cooked diner for Scots, Brits, Germans, and Canadians on more than one occasion ;)

Cheers / Ciao / Tschuss / Cya / Aufwiedersein / G'day / Be cool

I hate ham on Thanksgiving, it gets cold and nasty

Use the SAW! Use the SAW! SAW is awsome!

Lets give it a helmet and make it play football!

my local news station had a cartoon mascot of that for a made-up team "The Gobblers" ô_o

I stayed home this time and the rest of my family went to our uncle-and-aunts-house-thanksgiving-gathering-spot while I slept and had leftovers when I got up
