-=DarkZero=-
Hello fella' swampies. I just got around to purchising one of the greatest CD's, maybe the BEST cd, Offspring has ever released. I've been a fan of offspring since their release, and well, when I saw this advertised when I went to see the return of the king, I had to get it. It's got 12 songs, 1 less of it's last album, but they come in strong. Many of them sound repeatitive, and I know how alot of cd's that are repeatitive in style and sound, bore people. I've listened to the whole thing about 100 times now, And I'm still listening to it, it's a sweet cd, and I recommend you get it! If anyones got much music, and saw that hot or not 2 thing (not that I watch MTV, or much crap, I was babysitting and that was the only good stuff the kid had with music) and they said that offspring were on the not list, and well, this CD AND ALL OF THEIR OTHER ONES PROVE THEIR NOT! SO SCREW MUCH MUSIC, AND SCREW MTV :@ That is all Check it out.

I say Americana is the best of their albums. But, thats jsut my opinion. I bought Splinter a day after it came out. Sure, its good, but nothing so great. My fave song on the album is Hit That (The single) and my 2nd fave song is When You're in Prison. Great songs. Good album.

BongoBob
I'm with Acyrlic with Americana. I still listen to that song just about everyday. It was on when I woke up(long story ) Ya, Da Hui is pretty craptastic and pointless. "I WON'T **** WITH DA HUI! I WON'T **** WITH DA HUI! I WON'T **** WITH DA HUI! BECAUSE, DA HUI, WILL **** WITH ME!" Next verse, substitute the first three f words with talk about. Next verse, something else. BUt I really like this album too, and my fave songs are(in no particular order): When You're In Prison Spare Me the Details The Noose Neocon(something about it is just great) Still,. Americana still is, and probably will always be, #1 Offspring CD Eva.

The_One
I owe a lot to The Offspring. They got me into the whole rock scene, and I was into them way before they became mainstream. Smash is by far their best album, followed by Ixnay on the Hombre and then Ignition. I couldn't believe it when I heard Americana. They had completely sold out, and their sound seemed far more intent on making money, than continued devotion to their loyal fans. Since Americana, I haven't listened to any of their new releases - but maybe I'll give this new one a listen, to see if they've restored any of the "Pretty Fly" damage. Taos
I'm glad to see some praise about this album. I've been an Offspring fan, but anymore I take the "wait and see" attitude. I should pick it up today.
The_One
OK, I've had a chance to listen to the new album, and I must say it's not bad But, it's way too short - or maybe I just forgot how short Offspring albums were
Captain Wilson
yeah it was a tad short been beter if it had more tracks, but still it was good

acdcfanbill
ive gotta go with the one on the fact that i think they kinda lost their musical direction with americana, its an ok album, and so is the stuff after it, but their previous work is best. i wouldnt say they totally sold out, but well, kick butt speedy music doesnt seem to be what they are about anymore.. Originally posted by acdcfanbill i think they kinda lost their musical direction with americana, its an ok album, and so is the stuff after it Oh no! I love Americana. It's one of my favourites. Me and my mates started out on Americana when we discovered that rock/punk/nu-metal existed. (Which was difficult, the UK sucks at music charts). But later songs like "Original Prankster" give me the shivers....
