toms
Originally posted by Astrotoy7 I am very interested in thought association... in this instance, what is the very first thing you usually think of, or associate with, when you hear the words "Star Wars"....... ok *those* words specifically....... Imperial star destroyers, the death star and x-wings/tie fighters. The whole "grey industrial look" from the original films. Walkers. hoth. Originally posted by Astrotoy7 For me, when I think of "SW" nowadays, I think of "Episode III" instantly, as Im very fixated on this for next year..... I never thought i'd say this, but i'm really not bothered. BEfore Ep 1 all my mates and I were eagerly scouring the web for bits of news and passing them around via email. Before Ep 2 we were dending each other worrying bits of news we had found about what GL might mess up in that one. Now, I don't think we have even talked about SW in years. So that is a whole load of die-hard SW fans who are totally ambivilent to the upcoming film. Never thought that would happen.

Sivy
i think its a good thing that people aren't looking forward to Ep III as much... because it lowers their expectations. and then when they go and see ep III and get blown away from it's brilliance they’ll be pleasantly surprised. because lets face it.. Ep I & II was just the prologue, the opening act, the comedian that comes out and warms up the crowd.. ep III is where its at baby! the whole point of the prequels is ep III, how anakin becomes vader, how palpatine becomes the emperor etc everything that star wars fans have always wondered ever since the OT. its all going to happen in ep III. so I & II didn't meet some peoples expectations.. how can III not? we know what basically happens... thats not what i'm waiting for, no wait i'm waiting for is too actually see it happen. I was in our local movie rental place plodding through trying to find something to interest our whole family that we hadn't seen before ... and heard the commercial for some crappy horror click coming soon on DVD. Someone asks - 'are you afraid?', the other person says 'no' all the while I'm thinking 'You will be ... you WILL be ...' ... and the other person comes back with 'you should be' Ah well ... see - I'm often thinking of Star Wars. I have gotten my wife saying 'stay on target' on a frequent basis, as well as 'I have a bad feeling about this'. Mike
•-BLaCKouT-•
One of my favourites to use at work (especially on overtime) is: "Hey, I ain't in this for your revolution, and I ain't in it for you, sister. I'm in it for the money... I expect to be well paid for this!" Bless 'em, they ain't got a clue They seem to twig when I start doing the Yoda ones though. Can't resist doing the voice, you see. B. Master_Keralys
I think of two lightsabers igniting: blue and silver - in the middle of a thunderstorm as Jedi Knights Keralys and Sunblayde stand against over 50 Yuuzhan Vong warriors - alone. Then of the Fate's Whip darting over the surface of the Yuuzhan Vong cruiser as Keralys, piloting it, makes an escape for his friends. Then of the regular movies. The first part was all from the book I'm writing (for fun, of course). After that comes X-wings, Duel of the Fates (the music) and the best lightsaber duels (Luke v Vader in ROTJ and Obi v Maul in TPM).
