whitedragon
even though i dident like the game itself. silent hill was really the only game that made me look over my sholder in mid-play but the remake of RE 1 was everything i ever wanted in a survival horror

IG-64
i'll have to go with Resident Evil, it's just about the only "scary" series i've ever played, I played a little bit of silent hill but it got boring, and it wasn't scary at all (despite my friend's attempt by turning out all the lights )
rccar328
I'd have to play horror games in order to have a favorite... I did play Alien vs. Predator, but it was on the SNES, and it was anything but horiffic (lame comes to mind...). Anyway, if it was the SNES version you were talking about, it gets my vote simply because it's the only one I've played.
TheHobGoblin
DooM III Will be the most scary game I ever played.
jokemaster
Doom 3 doesn't look scary for me. Meh.
whitedragon
American McGees Alice wasent a game that really scared me per say, (except for those shadow looking demons that were made of horrified faces...yeesh) but it was a very twisted gothic horror that i still love ROCK ON ALICE
jokemaster
^Yeah, but they refuse to publish American McGees OZ because it isn't part of a franchise, so now he's making a movie out of it so the game will sell.

TheHobGoblin
Originally posted by jokemaster Strange, I found fat zombies and skeletons with jetpacks funny. True they are, but they always look awsome. Yet the Hell Knight, Arch Vile, Manacubus (no picture yet but I bet they won't look pretty) and Cyberdemon are going to be pretty nasty. I still want to play that game.
Darth Eggplant
scariest game for bad programing and poor graphics was EA games Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone. funny game was and is Typing of the Dead based on the sega arcade game something of the dead... instead of a gun, the zombies come at you with words on them and you have to type the word correctly. when you do the zombie gets hit, if you dont the zombie gewts you. Clive Barkers Undying was too creepy to play at night, those Howler things leaping out at you,....eeeeek cool but sort of scary was American McGee's Alice. if you like Undying this is way better of a game IMO. and some parts are creepy, the spiders in the insane wards, the freaked out robots in the funhouse mirrors and the Boojums, especially a pin and frightening when you are trying to float from steam gyser to steam gyser. plus never mind Laura Croft, Alice was such a hottie. but seriously the worst ans cariest game out there ever made still has to be Oh No More Lemmings! Kusanavi
Never played this Undying game but sure will of what I've seen from your commentaries (all of you) but I gotta go with Silent Hill, especially 2, every freaking part of it scared me (played it at night with no lights on) especially the last part @__@. The_One
I voted for System Shock 2 - that was one incredible game, and it was damn scary too. AvP made me swell with fear, but a warm gun at my side soon made me feel safe once more But where is Lula's Sexy Empire? Now that was a scary game! Scarily crap, though. Not that I've played it - could be one of those undiscovered classics - I'm sure it's at the top of the bikini genre...
