Writer Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 Ok, so every time I try to go into the SWRP in here, it starts to do what I want it to, but then redirects me to [[Link Removed]] What in the freakin' dang world is goin' on here??!!??? EDIT: Removed the link...just in case others get 'hijacked'. Stormy.
Astrotoy7 Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 i'm not even gonna click that, it sounds like it could be one of those browser hijackers ! mtfbwya

Alegis Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 Yoo-gee-oh YOUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN HACKED! BURN IT AND RUN AWAY
BawBag™ Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 Thanks guy's for pointing out ad-aware. I had a problem with pop-ups recently when I closed down IE, I would get up to 6 pop-ups and windows asking repeatedly if I wanted to connect to my dial-up. Seems to have pissed off now.

Astrotoy7 Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Originally posted by IG-64 poop, I clicked it without thinking....... sigh, youd think you of all people IG would be weary of endangering your beleagured pc ! * * * back to topic yep, run ad aware, try spy sweeper. Theres even a utility called 'hijackthis' that works on such programs have you run your antivirus software, norton 2004 is doing a good job for me so far with all that crap. I also do run ad-aware and spy sweeper periodically.... plus, make sure you have your default browser secuirity settings on, definitely nothing lower than the default settings ! mtfbwya
