Ahh....

Those swords look sexy.

I just might have to take that sword hilt, convert to TSL, and make the hilt a lightsaber... (I wouldn't dare think of releasing it)

Well, svosh, I wasn't here in LF when you were at your glories, but I've read your tutorials and downloaded your work, and I will agree with everyone else that, yes you're a modding god. Nuff Said.:lol:

 

The swords are amazing. I would give Marl the red one, Ice the blue one (only if you intend to make it a bit lighter in colour), and Deadeye the two ice-hilted. You could make a mod like: "Taris Dueling Arena weapon pack". It's for the great comeback!!:D

Yeah, I think this one is perfect for Ice, but I would give it a slightly more metallic look. The red double sword should be given to Marl (it would fit better next to the armor I gave him :p).

 

Good to have you back. I always enjoyed your work.

@Istorian Thats what it is, if you go back to pages 4 and 5 of this thread you will see the weapons I made for the Taris arena mod I was working on.

 

I scraped Marl's old design for this revamped one but Ice will have her ice slivers, and Twitch his tommy gun inspired blasters, not sure about Starkillers though it is a bit big for a blaster or a small tank... Gerlon I have something in mind for as well, i'm not sure about Deadeye's yet maybe a backwards blaster :p

 

I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not but it appears mdlops 0.5 hates k1. :(

 

I took Ice's model pictured above, and thinned out the blade a touch just moving verts. Everything else was already done split up, mappeded, ect... exported it compiled it and in game it appears to have major texture corruption.

 

As if it was being stitched up from bottom left to center right since i split the blade in half length wise for my mapping and the model.. to see if the model did get stitched up by some freak accident.

 

I re-compiled it from override , imported the ascii mdl back in to max, the first thing I noticed it had no texture associated to it none ? It uses the first 3 slots of the materials, but not even with the eyedropper tool could it find the textures it was associated with.

 

To top that off i couldn't apply any new materials without drag n dropping textures directly from an other window to the material slots, really strange ? Max keep freezing up every time I attempted to add a map to my diffusion slot the normal way.

 

I looked over my UV's they had no stitching apposed to the freak show they became in game.

 

Well I got my hands on mdlops 0.6 alpha4 ,after it's first compile the model was in game flawless. All texture distortion was gone. Since all my modding with mdlops 0.5 was in TSL I had no idea it corrupted k1 files.

 

I hope 0.6 alpha4 won't give me any trouble but it's working so far so good ;)

 

Here's marl's in both colours in game didn't lighten the photo i think I'll go with the orange version as I had planed not sure about adding any glow to it but will see the bright orange still plays well off the black so I may just leave it as is. The shader on the blade is pretty good too maybe a bit strong, but I always edit my alpha channels a few time to get the right amount of shine I'm looking for.

 

It fits both male and females hands but maybe not wookie friendly I'm not sure yet, I even made the grip a fair bit wider then any of the stock models to accommodate this

svosh, I have a small request: Could you use a script (you can also use the TSL Patcher to edit GFF files, but I would prefer the script) to equip these new weapons onto the duelists instead of editing their .utc files. I would attach the script to "tar02_duelann022.dlg". I have this strange request because I want to avoid any compatibility issues between your mod and mine.

 

I apologize if this inconvenience's you. I know that this means extra work, so if you don't feel like doing it, you don't have to.

It doesn't export the lightsabers correctly. It always messes things up for me.

Yep, it's looking great svösh, I'd agree on going with the red/orange one versus the blue variant. Seeing as it is a weapon and not a toy, I think, as you said, the color pops off of the blade enough where you wont need to have any more glow or shader effects for it. Looking good, looking deadly pal. :D

@ Darth Payne, why on Kotorfiles ? If you put all your eggs in to one basket .. just look at what happened to pcgm . My site is still up and running since i built it back in 2003 or so, but anyways it's running low on space now so probably at filefront.

 

Being a modder is never easy, just when I'm working on one thing, something else catches my eye or I find something I want to change, well here it is a set of 11 new robes I knocked off for a female pc and Jedi party members. Using the N_JediCounF model.

 

I flipped The bottom section [ skirt ] of the robe around, so for once the robes would close and open the way they should. I also reversed the wrap of the robes on the backside as well unless the dev's intended the robes to be a separate top section and backwards wrap skirt that defies any logic.. It bugged me enough to edit them fortunately the uv map lent itself to this and I only had to flip it on the skin. These use the model J slot in appearance.2da.

 

The loin cloth piece clips the leg from swinging of the hips but if you can get past that the robe model is pretty cool. I left the accessories uniform on all skins. The collar section is great on this model a nice uv map attached to the torso, so much better then the default Jedi robes. Allowing me to create the overlapping under robes collar that kotor is laking.

 

There are no female Jedi on Dantooine that wear these for a comparison shot they only appear on the Starforge and in the bik pre-rendered movies, but if you compare old Nemo there in my shot you get the idea.

 

So far the stats are identical on all 11 it's just for a change of colour and style.

 

I don't have the stats written down and really it hardly matters we are modders, you don't like something then change it, simple as that. One stat I'm sure about is a bonus feat of advanced force jump, since I love that feat and all jedi should be able to jump imo.

 

The name's origins Elite Council Robes and my item description:

Jedi who are sent on special missions by the council receive these enhanced robes to aid them in their usually dangerous tasks. Be it peace keeping discussions or tracking the Sith across the galaxy. Similar to standard Jedi robes these appear to be just stylishly created garments nothing more.

The masks are previous projects of svösh's, and his own website is more than well suited enough to host his own mods.

Thanks redrob41 thats a good idea I try not to make male only mods but in this case it's only for the female pc. I know Prime's movie style robes well, I fixed up the uv mapping on the collar and remapped the arm's for Xavier2 back in the day. I came across that max scene in my files just this week. But Prime's mod would compliment it nicely or vice versa.

 

I'm glad one person likes them apart from me, I actually had no plans on a male version. The skin and uv and model for the male is different and wouldn't lend itself to this style collar without welding some verts down the center. The skirt section of the robe would have to be remapped flipping the skirt texture as I did on these wouldn't be possible without remapping it and tweaking the uv for the new collar. (See nemo next time your in kotor. The devs made the male model with a tunic collar built in . Of course it could be changed ;) ) These are numbered n_jedicounf20 to 30 for the .tga naming. By copying one of them as n_jedicounf01.tga I had the female Jedi on the EndarSpire in that skin before she dies.

I didn't have any decent in game shots of it I'm having some issue with cm_baremetal not displaying properly on just about all my models it's either new ATI drivers or mdlops causing it ?

 

Thanks Mav :) i'll be re archiving all my old files soon in to .7z files I read it has a better compression in that format, and have noticed files I .7z with it are smaller in size then .rar. 7zip can open .rar files and vice versa it's 100% free and anyone who has any mods for oblivion probably already has it so that should help me squeeze some extra space out of my little site. About the masks, one is the Sith vengeance I made like a life time ago. [Guiltily staring at my feet mumbling sorry ] the other is my Death mask that came with the USM for TSL I made it so it's not porting

It looks Mandalorian, IMO. And very, very good. :)

Personally, I'd say you should put them both in, but it's your call. :)

I used to have an ATI card. Is the baremetal showing up very, very shiny? As in, are the Sith uniforms showing up so that they're a goldeny-yellowy sort of colour? If so, I think that's ATI cards. Since I switched to NVidia, the baremetal envmap has shown up less... overpoweringly.

The compression ratio for 7Zip files is much better, yes. The only slightly off-putting-at-first difference is that its GUI has to be accessed from the right-click menu. Or at least, it does on the version I've got...

Wow... that just looks good... I wouldn't say it looks Mandalorian, but more like if we took Human's from today, planted them in the Star Wars Universe, and told them that they had to make a blaster...

 

...which is suspiciously like what you did... you haven't been making any visits to Star Wars Land now, have you?

I think the blaster would be perfect for Bendak. I prefer to fight him with swords in the arena (it's more personal), but I wouldn't mind taking that blaster off his hands once I beat him. :D

 

Also, the robes look excellent.
