SkinWalker
Okay... so they're really patenting "Body Power" in the form of a "Personal Area Network," or PAN. The concept allows the body to act as the medium for transmitting and sharing power and data among devices. Microsoft just keeps going, and going, and going.... Still, being a gadget freak, I'd like to see some of the practical applications mentioned in the article linked above.
ET Warrior
Agreed. Very cool concept, but not entirely sure just HOW useful it is at the moment.
BongoBob
and in recent weeks the company has obtained patents for double-clicking Those greedy SOBs Anyhow, that's weird. Just weird.
Sabretooth
And if somebody hacks into your body, consider your life wasted. I don't think it would be a good idea to merge one of nature's best creations with our own creations. Creepy...
Mex
Bah someone will most probably invent a virus that renders our brains useless somehow, and then makes us dance! Naked!
toms
i think i'd want a heck of a lot of years of testing for long term side effects, but otherwise it'd be pretty handy. I saw something a whileback about a wireless PAN where you have a cellphone sized battery pack (plus memory etc..) that you can stuff on a belt or in a bag, everything else (mp3 player, mobile, gaming device, camera etc..) is then just a creditcard sized device that links up to it... so you can just put them in pockets all over your body. Mind you, i'd be rather worried about walking around in the middle of a gigantic electric field the whole time. can't be good for you long term... As for uses of the skin thing.... babylon 5 style communicators? (tiny communicators stuck to the back of your hand, mini cordless earpieces in your ear, virtual keypad sensors on each fingertip? Astrotoy7
Is this one of those kinetic energy things, 'cause that's been done. Seiko have a had a kinetic energy watch out for years, that harnesses some of your body's kinetic energy *astro plugs his **** into power socket to see what happens* mtfbwya
Topsshot
This reminds me of the Nintendo classic, "Kabuki Quantum Fighter." It'd be kind of cool to see if this was actually possible. Imagine if the human mind could be formatted to raw data..........
