*SPOILER* Did you think that Desann was a better Villain?

I know that Jedi Academy was definately a better game than Jedi Outcast, but villain wise is was a bit predictable: Tavion.

Tavion was the apprentice of Desann, but after Katarn spared her she caused more havoc by resurrecting Ragnos (the Ghost-Sith Lord). Desann hired better people to take care of the Jedi such as being in league with Admiral Fayar an Imperial Official while Tavion relied on the rogue Rosh and the pathetic Alora (she is easy to beat trust me). Tavion also proved to be an easy challenge and relied on the power of the Scepter and the Sith Sword while Desann was so much more powerful than she could ever be.

Desann's plot was also a better one, to raise an army of Reborn to destroy and conquer the galaxy and use Katarn to do it. Meanwhile Tavion used her own men to collect force-powers from around the galaxy to arise a spirit??? what is the point, you can walk through the guy.

Ultimately it was Kyle's fault for letting Tavion go and would have spared a sequel to Outcast and perhaps a more potent Sith enemy that equalled Desann. They could bring back Jerec...

Tavion and Alora as a team are as worthless as Clinton and Gore.

Desann and Tavion as the apprentice were much better. Tavion is just not as evil or sinister as Desann to be the main boss of the game. Tavion trying to act all big powerful is just more pathetic than she was in Jedi Outcast on Bespin...

Alora, Tavion, Desann, ... They are all very very BAD! (They look,

sound and act stupid...)

Jerec was little better I quess... But in sith (Saber/Force users)

amount DF2 was clearly much much better...

----------

And in next Jedi Knight game I don't want to see these stupid

saber/force clone hooligans anymore... In entire game there

should be maximum of ~6 enemies who use lightsabers...

And of those only two should be "strong" in the force... (use

powers like lightning, grip, ...) others may be pretty good with

the saber but only do very simple force stuff or no force at all

And especially those two powerfull characters (The Sith lord

and his pupil) should be more like the movie sith characters...

(dressed in dark/black, quiet, secretive, disciplined...)

Jerec definitely has my "favorite JK series villain vote." He had the right idea for the Valley of the Jedi; use its full power to make yourself invincible instead of rationing it out to thousands of Reborn, diluting it and robbing the Valley of its true potential.

Desann had a cool voice in JO, but that was about all he had going for him.

As for Tavion, she was nothing but a pretender and was not worthy of the Sith. Why? Because she wanted to serve a new master instead of becoming the dominant dark warrior in the galaxy. Instead of using all that Force power to resurrect Marko Ragnos, she could have used the scepter for herself, giving her tremendous power. Jaden realizes this in the Dark side ending and decides to take the sceptor for himself.

Of course, Darth Malak is the best villain in any Star Wars game, but that's another story...;)

Whole Valley of the Jedi from where you can get more power to

your self or others is just... Stupid... (And in Jedi Academy it was

even Crazier... now they they take some darkforce powers from

everywhere...)

I thought there was nothing in the cave in dagobah just dark,

moist, and lots of critters and such which can stimulate your

imagination (Nothing Bad in there... Only what you take with

you... Your Fear)

BUT Yyep! the Sith/Dark jedi and their actions were much better

in DF2 than in these new sith "clone clown wars"

Desann was okay, Tavion was complete pants and I have to agree with one of the earlier posts - there should only ever be about 6 lightsaber weiding villians in total - unless it's set when there are a lot of jedi/sith knocking around the galaxy. I never saw Jerec, I should get round to playing and finishing that game...

Wasn't Desann suppose to have been in the EU as a fallen student of Luke's?

Anyway, while I do feel that Desann was a better bad guy, I do think that Tavion was totally approprate for JKA.

But, if I was in charge, I probably would have pitted Kyle vs Tavion and Jaden vs Alora (light sider) and Kyle vs. Tavion vs. Jaden (dark) for the final battles.

The way it works out now. A newbie jedi takes down Tavion or Kyle which doesn't seem approprate. Plus, Tavion ends up with about the same amount of screen time as Alora.

Desann's immense strength and cunning made him that much of a worthy opponent, whereas Tavion was relying too much on the powers of Ragnos' scepter, instead of her own, which was foolish. Without the scepter, you can break her in half and humiliate her like the weakling she is.

Jerec. Now he was a little cheap when he utilized "Force Destruction", but he was still another great enemy.

Yep, Desann was better because he actually thought things out, Tavion seemed like a little brat, Malak was cool, but got killed anyways, Jerec was also cool, (seeing while blind) but spammed Force Destruction a lot, but was easy after you took away the force pool.

That's my view.

I thought Jerec was the best Villain; Desann was very crafty by...

Making Kyle think that Tavion killed Jan. Which then got Kyle angry, and going to the Valley of the Jedi, with Desann following; therefore, allowing him to get the power of the Valley.

Tavion in Jedi Academy didn't bug me that much, though I do think the other villains were better.

Jerec and his disciples were awesome. 'Nuff said.

I did like the idea of cults; Desann and Tavion were more or less just conspirators with big egos.

They should have made a game based on the stories of Boc, Sariss, and Jerec's other dark jedi. That would be so much more interesting. If GL can make prequels to movies, why can't there be prequels to the big game titles?
