Pho3nix Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I think it needs to be the darkest of all the movies, hope that GL (George Lucas) won't make it PG-11 or sumthin' cuz that would just ruin it. Any comments?
Lynk Former Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Haven't seen the movie yet, when I see it i'll give my opinion

Any comments? Actually, Ithink it's gonna be PG-13, and there's agood chance it's gonna be the darkest of all the SW movies, but even if it's not, it has a great potental to be one of the best...
Kain Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Hahaha! Tyrannus sounds like 'my anus'. I'm not posting what I think of this movie anymore. Last time I did, I got flamed on seven different forums.
Ockniel Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 leave it to kain...... anywho, from everything I've seen, I think that It'll be awsome and like what someone said, Its got potential to revive the star wars films to all of the people who disliked I and II
Doomie Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 And bring even more fun to people that liked them! But seriously, Ep. 3 needs to be the 'ESB' of the prequel trilogy. It's for the best. Hahaha! Tyrannus sounds like 'my anus'. And 'Uranus' sounds like...
adillon Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 with a title like Revenge of the Sith how could it not be extremely dark and bleak? that's not something that i perceive as being all happy happy joy joy, and i hope it'll give ESB a run for the money as the 'best' episode in the star wars saga.
Sivy Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 lots of death, tons of destruction, darth vader and no happy ending... yep, i think you can safely say Ep III will be the darkest of them all.

Lieutenant_kettch Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 It will no doubt be the darkest movie ever(potentially) but, i think that there is enough content that will be brought up that it will give ROTJ a run for its money as best SW film, there is just so much it needs to go over however, that is my biggest fear, i hope LFL doesn't have too much stuff to cram into the movie that it makes it one of the worst SW movies. although i do think GL will do fine, it is still a valid fear
Andy867 Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 Well, from what George Lucas, Rick McCallum, Hayden Christansen, Ewan McGregor, Samuel L Jackson and Ian McDiarmid have all said, it will be THE darkest movie of all the Star Wars movie. Fans can definitely expect to NOT see any form of a happy ending.
adillon Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Originally posted by Andy867 Fans can definitely expect to NOT see any form of a happy ending. which makes the whole A New Hope thing just that much more relevant.
weiderudare Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Don't think there's gonna be much of laughter heard when seeing the movie... Loads of people HAVE to die... I just know for sure that I will probably cry.
toenail1 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 we already had 2 threads about this... (which got combined into one)
Palpatine Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Yeah it will be the darkest one. But I keep wondering how are they going to deal with the timescale, for example, like rumors say, the movie ends with a scene whenre we see The Death Star entering construction phase. I mean by the beginning of A New Hpe they still havent finsihed it completely???! It seems wierd because there is about a 20 year break between ep III and IV. Though they finished the Second Death Star in about a year and so ( dont know the exact break between ep V and VI ) Hmmm But Episode III will probably be the best out of prequels and might even beat ESB:)
Andy867 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Thats the thing with standardization and conventionalism. When you make something completely new for the very first time, it takes the longest, but when you go to make the second one, you are already aware of the original flaws in the design and can easily avoid them, and plus you have a full understanding of tips to use to speed up production. And in reality, the station may have been combat ready, but when compared to the original death star, there was still plenty of work that needed to be completed to make it complete. And the way it goes is that there is a 3 year difference between episodes 2 and 3, but there is an 18 year difference between 3 and 4. And for all we know, they might not have even started production of the Death Star until maybe 3 years before A New Hope. Only time will tell really.
Ockniel Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I think it would make sence at least to a degree if he put the death star in there, cause look, a prototype of the largest and most powerful wearon in history is going to take a while when they are still working out bugs and flaws in their designs. hey, they may even have to start over a couple times. but once they have already built it and know how everything works, they could make it faster and more efficient. well oaky there, I said it.

Baron von Pelt Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Just plain ol' PG, I'd assume. Yeah, in order for this one to be good, I think GL should have had someone other than himself direct it, hich I doubt he's done (I don't keep track on SW movies anymore).
Andy867 Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 From what I've heard, GL might not keep the typical PG rating for this film
