RoxStar Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 What the hell is this thing? It never explains what it is! http://www.qray.com/index.asp If you must know where I got the link, I was watching TV and they had like a 2 minute long commercial (seriously) about this, and all they talked about is how athletes love it and that it is "stylish".
Darth333 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 huh? I see a bracelet...unless I missed something
Shok_Tinoktin Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Read the testimonials on the left hand side: I had to let you know, what you already know, that your bracelet is AMAZING! Nancy Richer
jon_hill987 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Its just a braclet, they are trying to convince people that it has other efects than "bling" but if you are an athlete you would be beter off wearing a "ring of speed (+20)" from your local market than that coz it weighs less
CapNColostomy Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Under FAQ: "What are the styles and design features? The Q-Ray Ionized Bracelet® is specially engineered using select mineral component metals and exclusive ionization technology to ensure the best performance and appearance. The terminal ends (flat balls) are attached using a two-fold connection process to ensure maximum security and durability. Q-Ray is available in 3 styles and 4 sizes: extra small, small, medium and large to guarantee complete satisfaction and comfort. (Natural Finish is not available in extra-small) The Natural Series bracelet has a durable non-plated, silver-colored finish. The sophisticated design and engineering of our Standard Series is the perfect choice because of its natural fit and weight. Bracelets are plated with either a sterling silver or a gold plated band. Both models have gold plated terminals. The Deluxe Series is the ultimate in style and function. The sophisticated design and engineering of the twisted band is the perfect choice for many because of its natural comfortable fit, lighter weight and overall flexibility. This special design minimizes sliding and movement during any type of activity. Can I wear the bracelet if I am pregnant? Consult your physician before wearing if you are pregnant or believe that you might be pregnant. Can I wear the bracelet and operate a microwave, blow dryer, clippers, vacuum cleaners, light switch, computer, etc.? We would not anticipate you having any problems with wearing the bracelet while operating any of these devices." Where's the mystery? That's the real WTF here.
*Yoinked* Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Wtf,wtf,wtf,wtf,wtf..... *five minutes later*wtf,wtf,wtf,wtf.... Dude, why in hell would i want that?!?!
Alegis Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Reminds me of those magnet rings which extended your life... omg its a bracelet! I gotta buy 3!
ZBomber Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Can't ANYONE read? (Or even look a pictures?! ) This part is a wtf itself: "Can I wear the bracelet if I am pregnant? Consult your physician before wearing if you are pregnant or believe that you might be pregnant." Why would being pregant effect a bracelet?
Nerd_Annhilator Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 The site isn't telling me what it DOES. Scam? Oh yes.
IG-64 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Remember the eternal life rings on ebay? X) What these "ionized" bracelets are supposed to do is relieve pain. Scientests have studied that they don't work. I don't see why you'd need a scientific test to tell you that, and I also cry for people that actually pay hundreds for this crap.

TiE23 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 * Individual results vary - results not typical. Just put that on anything and you can do anything! "Take the Geetsbarrow Diet and lose 75 lbs. in one day!" And the one testimonial is one guy who had is legs and arms amputated when on the diet. TiE

TiE Yeah, if you picked up a rock on the street and gave it to someone saying it has magical powers to help you lose weight, he/she would probably lose weight.
Sam Fisher Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Amazing that the Gold Edition is like $200. I wonder how many they sold..?!
TiE23 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Originally posted by Sam Fisher Amazing that the Gold Edition is like $200. I wonder how many they sold..?! 2 and gave one away. I bet, like, hundreds- if not thousands TiE
Sam Fisher Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 It seems it worked though... I'll have to go into that business

Why would being pregant effect a bracelet? I think that warning is to make it seem like the bracelet actually does something. Clever marketing!! Remember the Disney movie Dumbo? If someone is convinced that something helps them do something, this may actually make them able to do that thing. 50% or more of success is mental(100% of the people who buy the bracelet are mental:p).

The athletes must score good because of the bracelets! "Mr. Hussein always wears his Q-Ray Ionized Bracelet on his wrist when he is racing."

narfblat Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Oops, I didn't read the thing about the rock. I must have thought it was part of the signature.
