Rogue Nine
I use Firefox for mostly everything on the web. If I have to do schoolwork and log onto the school's online web database, that's not Firefox friendly, so I use IE.
Rogue15
Back when I first started, i used netscape...then i discovered internet explorer and haven't gone back. IE>Netscape

Commander 598
I don't really see the point in changing browsers. IE does everything I need.
Nute Gunray
Firefox. I've completely phased IE out of my day internet use. Firefox beats the hell out of IE in denying unrequested windows the ability to open themselves and tabbed browsing is like the best thing ever. edlib
I use Firefox and IE about equally these days. I also have the other Mozilla and a couple of versions of Netscape installed as well.

Ray Jones
netscape + mozilla suite = too slow. internet exploder = too microsoft-ish, use it and open your computer to the world, although it's hard to not to use it even if you dont use it, since it is highly integrated to the os, every windows app that "checks for updates" will use i.e.-components. plus basic version is stupid, no tabs, no pop-up blocking, no everything. opera + others = no idea. firefox = browser of my choice. quick, small, reliable, tabs, pop-up blocking. i checked all the options though, just to screw the values.. also, you never know .. ^^;
Fondas
Well, I 've been using FireFox since the 0.90 version and now I just can't go back to IE ! I only roll back to IE only when I have to (intranet IE friendly apps) For Internet browsing it's my favorite. Quick , small , reliable, TABS and pop up blocking , (as RayJones has already pointed out ) are what makes it better than IE.
Ikhnaton
Fondas??? hey bud! i still use IE, but it is much better after SP2 for XP. I tried firefox and i just can't get into it. I do wish IE had tabs though, and then it would be perfect for me.
Fondas
Hello Stallion ! How about remeber the good ol' days and Hijack this thread........ No ? well, you're right , we should set the example.... Back on topic, actually Firefox is reported to be much safer that IE , regarding malicious attacks. Rogue15
some spyware crap got itself on my ie and keeps changing my homepage to some stupid porn site, so i'm using firefox.
Keyan Farlander
Hey Fondas! And I agree about the SP 2 stuff you said, Ike; it's been working great for me.
Jabba The Hunt
I havn't had a single piece of spam install itself into firefox since I've been using it (over 6 months now), rather than IE where it was happening with increasing frequency. edlib
* Rubs eyes * F- f-... Fondas?!?? Yeahhhh... I think I remember that name... I have been using Webwasher for years with IE, which plugs a lot of the security holes (plus it makes all the banner ads disappear.) The only problems I ever have is when I forget to turn it on. But a lot of sites just plain work better with Firefox now, so I do a lot of switching... although I really don't see the day where I abandon IE completely. I mean,.. how do you do any Microsoft software updates without using IE?

edlib
Eh... I tried that once. Didn't like it. Hunting and pecking though the vast expanse of the MS Empire website to find the lastest security update I might want or need just got old really fast. Even faster when you factor in all the MS Office product updates as well. Things like DirectX or WMP I don't mind going to the various web pages and getting the latest & greatest that way... but the MS Security database is a maze of icky. Checking the Windows and Office Update sites once a week is worlds easier than the alternative.
Ray Jones
ms security update? what's that? an oxymoron? hmm.. i am not one of the update hunters anyway, if it works fine, and there is all you need, why update? it only causes trouble. dont touch a running system, except you can go without it. also i tend to avoid (especially) ms products and to use open source software where i can.
