Rogue15
28, march 2005 eh, so my temp agency calls me this afternoon and asks if i'll go in for a meeting or something with the jay group....it could be 3 things: 1: It could be about the **** that happened one of the last weeks we were there.... some car windows were smashed and someone's cd stereo system was ripped out of their car after supper....the last day though, as i went to leave I think i caught something, but didn't stick around long enough to see...but what I saw was one of the temps take something out of the bushes, thing that sucks is it happened to be RIGHT NEXT TO MY CAR. I didn't say anything about it i just turned my head and jetted out of there, best to keep my head out of other people's business.. 2: Information about when we'll be transferring, discussion of shuttle bus tickets, location, etc. 3: They could be HIRING. This would be good for me, as they start you off at $12 an hour. bad side about that is you have to fix the ****ing machines when they break and be available for work every saturday. greed might take me away from having any family life for a bit, but i would be able to move out with that. So i dunno i'm trying not to think about it. Hopefully the meeting doesn't last more than an hour cause i probably won't be payed for it. I really wish I had MEDICAL INSURANCE. why do they take taxes out for medicare when I can't ****ing USE IT?!!!!!! that pisses me off. My left wrist hurts whenever I try to pick something up with it, like a gallon of milk or orange juice. I would LOVE to see a doctor and get a brace of some kind on it so it will heal or something, but the cost of that would make me in debt for 2 months most-likely (hell remember when i got bronchitis?! i just recovered from that like last week!) I'm listening to trance music again...I always find myself listening to it when I am uncertain and depressed about my life. digitally imported is my hero. edit: compiled a cd...kinda slow, but fits my mood. 1. Godsmack - Serenity (4:34) 2. Shinedown - Simple Man (5:21) 3. 3 Doors Down - Loser (4:24) 4. Hed pe - Getaway (3:15) 5. 12 Stones - Broken (2:59) 6. Breaking Benjamin - Forget It (3:37) 7. GUNNER
March 28th 05. 4:45AM Work stinks. just a few more hours to go. We leave this afternoon for Arizona for almost 2 weeks so that will be fun. My Son will be 6 in a few weeks as well. Man has time flown by. I haven't played a SW game in some time now. Last one was JK:JO I just went through HL2 not to long ago, great game. I remember playing RS. Boy was that half lame. And I never did finish XWA. And boy has this place turned into a ghost town.
Keyan Farlander
My boss is on vacation this week. So while I have plenty of work to do, and I don't really see him that often anyway, it's kind of more relaxing somehow, you know?
edlib
3/28/05 Put in a half day at work. Most of the time was spent in meetings with my boss about restructuring our student crew. We spent several hours going back and forth about pros and cons, the way to go about it, and all of our concerns about what might happen if we make too drastic a change too suddenly. Then he went ahead and did exactly what he wanted to do in the first place, making the rest of us wonder why we had to go through all of that at all. Oh well... Rogue15
29 march 2005 well, i was called today and asked about working at this other place, i said sure cause the pay is 0.50 more....but when i got there they said they couldn't send me because of something that happened at jay group on thursday, so i ended up talking to the jay group rep and spherion rep telling everything i knew....but didn't mention the people drinking on the job though. i have to call them tomorrow to see if i can work at the place...machine operator or something. hopefully it's a job i will LIKE. =\

edlib
3/29/05 Yet another "Cast-Of-Thousands" type show, where every usable inch of stage space is occupied by players or gear... only this time: with dancers! It was kind of amusing in an embarassing way (or is it "embarassing in an amusing way?"); there was hardly any space for people to get on and off the stage comfortably, and here they were trying to get a couple of dancers up there. They ended up mostly twirling in place since there was really nowhere for them to go. A couple of steps to each side was the best they could manage. A lot of the music was cringe-inducing slow-jam R&B, a lot of fairly explicit "sex-you-up" tunes that seemed to go on forever. Ugh. Of course, all this was interspersed with the occasional bluegrass and salsa tune (what else?) There are nights that I really love my job,.. and then there are nights where I just have to square my jaw, grit my teeth, bite my tongue, and just endure it till I'm on the other side of the whole fiasco. I'll leave it to you to decide what kind of night last night was for me. I just thought of something: I really hope that nobody I work with or anyone who plays in these shows ever comes here and figures out who I am and what I'm talking about... It could get a little messy. I really come across as an ******* sometimes. Whatever...
Keyan Farlander
I think you're safe here on the XWA boards If you were posting at GameFAQs or something, then you might want to worry, but we've got like five people who regularly post here. I miss the good old days of this board
edlib
Heh heh... yeah, there's probably nothing to worry about... but I do occasionally post during downtime at work, so someone curious and clever could, theoretically, trace my tracks and read my posts. Also: An IT guy switched me over to OS X on my work Mac yesterday. He made a note of my bookmarks, since they were essentially the same as the ones on the Mac in my old office, which he had migrated the day before... and this place is one of them. I don't know if it would've stood out in the list of URLs, but my work bookmarks aren't really that long a list. Plus, the way the computers are now setup, IT can log onto my desktop remotely at any time to take control my of Mac, and, I suppose, see everything I am doing. Something for me to think about... edlib
Yeah, it's something that I now have to be aware of, although it really shouldn't change my comp-usage habits all that much. Besides, we still have a Win98 box if the office that kinda exists far outside of the whole Mac-centric universe of our IT dept. I can always slide over to that... 3/30/05 Took the day off from work since it will be at least a week before I get another. Spent most of the day driving around doing the chores that I haven't had time for, and simply won't have time for in the weeks to come. Made another supply run to wholesale club. Another dash through the store that left my cart groaning under the strain of being overburdened. Picked up a few interesting items, in addition to the usual boring staples: - Clone Wars cartoon DVD - 512 MB flash-memory card for digi-camera The memory stick replaces the 16 MB one that came with the camera that allowed me to take about 12 pictures at normal resolution before totally filling up. I shouldn't run into that problem anymore. Now I just need to find some rechargable batteries that will power the thing for more than 20 minutes before conking out... I watched the DVD last night. Pretty good. Some of the Jedi fighting seemed far more "Crouching Tiger" than anything out of Star Wars, but overall it kept me entertained. I wish the whole thing was a little longer, but I guess I prefer seeing it this way to 3-minute installments over a couple of months. I look forward to future DVD installments of the series now. Rogue15
ah woke up this morning with a charlie horse in my right calf. typical since i went on a walk uphill with my combat boots on yesterday. picked up my check, dropped some hitchhikers off at a bus stop in downtown lancaster. on the way out of downtown, i got a phonecall from the MP guy, and he said it's cool with his retention nco that i go with him to his drill this weekend, i said i had to do taxes on saturday, so he asked if sunday was ok, and i said sure, so we planned to meet up outside barnes and noble bookstore at 6am and i'd follow him to Gettysburg. After i hung up the phone (i was driving in downtown and talking...not the safest thing to do!!) I went to the mall and cashed my check, drove to walmart, in the parking lot my mom calls me, so i tell her what i'm doing on sunday and she's all like 'think about it before you sign anything and do some research and see if it's what you really want' and i was like 'yeah, i know' and i hung up the phone and parked the car. i picked up shaving cream and dog treats, then went to blockbuster returned Saw (GOOD MOVIE!!!! kinda like house of 1000 corpses but more scary) and Ladder 49 (also a good movie) and picked up Flight of the Phoenix and The Incredibles...i spent like 30 minutes there just browsing through the movies... then I went to the bank and deposited some of my money, went to drive home, noticed neighbor pulled in about the same time i pulled in, i didn't feel like saying hi cause i don't really like the guy so i just drove by and went to the gas station and picked up an energy drink, and drove home, my dad was home then so we watched flight of the phoenix. tomorrow i'm gonna go get my hair buzzed/clipped off cause i ran out of gel and my hair looks like crap-plus i want to look presentable before the Retention NCO. I need to get my car registered....augh.

edlib
3/31/05 Ahh... another month behind us, and somehow this thread still lingers on! Always fun when I have to go in early for meetings, only to hang around to work the show that night, and end up putting in a longer-than-12-hour-day. Made even more so when the meetings go completely off-track and have nothing to do with why we were all brought there in the first place, and I sit there thinking "Why exactly am I here for this?... " The show went alright. It was loud, and the setup was disorganized due to the fact the the person leading the band had never lead a concert before in his whole career. But they started on time, ended on time, and despite the disorganization, were fairly easy to work with.
Nitro
That's nice... Bunny just got crushed by 300 lb prostitute. He was even gonna give Man lake and pond, and maybe Doritos. Now Man is alone with 300 lb prostitute. "Ohhhh, wake up Maggie, I think I have something to say to you!" *looks around* Shut up... It's my day off, and I'm enjoying my dissident minor seconds. Rogue15
qtf nitro?! today has been crap so far... woke up, shower, then went to go get my haircut, got to the place that cuts my hair for CHEAP...and they always get it right...i sharply steered into the curb of the sidewalk, nice. got parked, then i put 2 quarters in the meter cause i figured i'd be waiting a while....anyways i go into the place "sound of scissors" haha and so i am like 'yo' and the lady is like 'what do you want?' and i'm like 'oh just a buzz cut' and she is liek 'do u have an appointment?' and i'm like 'uh no' and she is like 'well we have appointments open for next week' and i am liek 'omgwtf! hell no' and walk out....a bit mad because the only other place, holiday hair, i go to for haircut cost me $16..and i'm mad. so i do it anyway. end up waiting 15 minutes, then i get the same person that cut my hair there last time...so i know i'm like 'ok whatever' and she cut it the right way at least, i only tipped a dollar. cause that is way too expensive for just using clippers and no shampoo. oh well. it is REALLY nice outside so even though i'm still a little sick i might go take my dog for a walk. Zargon
broke motor mounts on the daily driver somehow, and the 'race car' still needs a water pump and window to be usable. so I spent most of the cash I had to work on the race car fixing the DD, so I have gotten no where and didnt pay any extra bills. All of my makeup work from missing 3 weeks of classes is pilling up and I hope I can scrap it out and get atleast all C's and graduate with ove ra 3.0 cum still, I hate life sometimes. All I want to do is work full time and have time to work on cars.

Rogue15
@wildstar: I just recently started a character on there the other day, been hanging out around Bestine, Tatooine. I mostly play on starsider though. @Keyan: yeah, if i had the clippers. I just got done playing galaxies....5 hours straight. I was fighting off these annoying ratlike creatures on Yavin IV to get my pistol xp enough so i could get trained in the last box of pistols in the marksman profession. Then i purchased a sweet laser carbine, went to Coronet, Corellia to pick it up and tested it out on some Rebel Guards...ended up getting slayed, then i decided to attack again, and i got killed again, and then it decided to load me back to the main menu-ie: log me off the game so i could see what time it is.
