Look at all of these perty adverts around you... they are what keep this forum alive and well... I'm sure the admins also forked out some cash from their own pockets to get it all started as well.

I think all the accounts with no posts in after a month should be removed to make way for more n00bs and so people could get the name they wanted. but it ain't up to me is it.

I know, it does take up alot of names, just look at the b-day list on the front page, you'll find that almost all of them have no posts.

 

But then again, I didn't post untill about a month after I registered. Because I registered to ask something about Galaxies and then found it was useless to post, then when JA came along I started posting again.

Speaking of ads, I'm getting an absolutely dreadful ad on these forums sometimes that makes a horrible fly buzzing noise. It says "Swat the fly and get a free iPod!" or whatever. Curse these advertisers who think it's a good idea to make ads that annoy people instead of displaying their service.

Funny that those ads are viewed as annoying by 99% of us, and adblocked through our browser or internet security/AV program....

 

as for the guys that "started" LF, are they a hit with the ladiez...I need to know If so, might start up my own huge site and get 90,000 members

I think they keep the member number high to be able to ask more money from someone who would like to advertise on LF.

They've gotten so bad now I've found I have to browse LF with my sound turned off. Ya know, why can't people just not be retarded when they make ads for their crap?

yeah those damn ads placed a trojan on my other computer, and internet explorer got f'd up, quite literally....as the main page kept reverting to some porno ads. so i was forced to switch to firefox, and that's what i'm using on my new pc. Internet Explorer=Hot chick with a ton of STDs to a computer.

i've never had a trojan pop up via an ad with IE or firefox, perhaps is some virus/spyware you already have installed?

well, there has been quite e few swampies who have replied to this thread and jebbers seems to be slightly disapointed since only 1 person attemted to answer his question. so I'm just gonna throw in my 2 cents anyway, who really cares how this site is funded or brought out to be. As long as it's here then that's good enough for me.
