Clone Troopers: TSL Style

As you can no doubt guess from the title, like the stormtrooper mod I will be porting the KOTOR Clone Trooper mod over to TSL. And depending on how it goes, I will be including a few bonus items from Episode 3...

 

A question for those who are interested: since there are very few Republic Troopers in the game, is it even worth adding the trooper replacement files?

 

I'll get some screenshots up soon...

You could add various replacement files to make it replace all generic allied A.I., like the security force on Telos(or whatever the first planet you travel to.. after the mine place).

 

But I look forward to it.

 

Obi-Wan PC and 2 clone troops as party members ;-D

That does pose an interesting question Prime, i don't think that Clonetroopers would really suit the Telosian Security Force, and there really aren't much Republic soldiers, so I really don't know, whatever you decide is fine by me though ;)

Actually it might be neat to see clone troopers replace the Telos and Onderon security forces but instead of being the same Clone trooper paint scheme the ones on Telos could be wearing the Blue Clone Trooper armor and the ones on Onderon could be using the Green Clone Trooper armor as appearances. This would make in game placement seem more frequent and it would provide some variety at the same time.

 

But it it is cool to see you breaking so quickly to the pressure of everybodys question to this Prime.:p

I don't think it would work very well. So what I'll probably do is pass on the replacement but include instructions for others if they choose to do it themselves.

Are you planning on make it findable through ?

Since making items placable causes problems, I plan on having them creatable through the workbench.

Definetley looking good Prime. For ingame placement at a workbench don't forget the discovery I made with making your own itemcreate.2da type file that can be loaded from a workbench. This is a great way to avoid having to try to merge these files with other peoples mods. However the problem comes with making it compatible with other mods that effect workbench scripting or dialogs.

I think I missed that. Can you elaborate on this?

I was refering to the discovery & process I had discussed in This Thread.

 

I rather hoped it might make it's way to our Tutorial stickies at the top as it can be rather valuable information.

 

However as it applies to yourself. You can take the itemcreate.2da file and erase all of the items and replace it with your own custom stormtrooper & clonetrooper items. rename the file primesitems.2da. Then through scripting add a dialogue branch to the workbench to build your custom items and have it launch your 2da file.

 

If you refer to my painted droid mod you will find a file named darkkendersitems.2da. I had a custom workbench spawned in the Ebon Hawk's storage room which will launch this 2da file.

awsome! they look beautiful.

 

and from the screenshots, looks like you fixed the only thing i found wrong with the models.

 

the grey part on the abdomen just above belt was slightly crooked. if it wasnt itd be cool if it's not too much trouble :)

Unfortunately, that is because of the model animation. So if I line it up for one stance it won't look right in another. Not much I can do about that.

 

And does your signature really need to be that big?
