LordOfTheFish Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 What if you switch characters in the level at certain points that require different specialties. RC levels are supposed to be long.
Sev_vode an Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 What about in like Battlefield 2 where you could switch in between men during the game except the objective changes with each character...
Kalonus Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Because of two reasons. A It's stupid B It would be incredibly complicated unless if it wasn't done by choice.
M@RS Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Kalonus said: Because of two reasons. A It's stupid B It's another excuse I made up... Please, if EA Games can do it, I'm sure Lucasarts can too... look at SWBF2 you can switch characters in the middle of a game, what's different besides the characters?
Astor Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 This is supposed to Republic Commando 2, not SW:Battlefront - The Republic Commando Missions
LordOfTheFish Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Maybe this is why LA hasn't created a Republic Commando 2, they cant agree on anything.
Kalonus Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Or maybe they think its a dead franchise that isnt worth the time and effort that goes into making a game.
Agent_Katarn00 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Well,LA drops many games.Battlefront is going to be dead soon,TFU and many other star wars games. We'll just have to accept it. It would be nice to see some older games be reborn though.

GeneralPloKoon Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I think LA views Acadmey as a failure thus making Jedi Knight dead, the might view RC has just a one time only thing. And Battlefronts future may have been decided upon Renegade Sqaudron, becasue of sales, the will probably be a TFU "2".

But i doubt there will be a RC 2,but then again i hope it's not the deal...
LordOfTheFish Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 This whole forum is going to die since people had to spam-up the CCP thread... Back on topic: Basically, there is no interest left in the RC community.
Astor Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Oh, there's interest, but the game was never THAT great to begin with, it has little replay value, and it never sold enough to warrant even talk of a sequel. That, combined with what many feel is the overexposure of the Clone Wars, the Commandos themselves, and books by a pretty unpopular (to most of the Star Wars book reading community) author, all gather together to make any hopes of a sequel wishful thinking at best.
Agent_Katarn00 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 It is still hard to say for me since i've only played the demo
GeneralPloKoon Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Get the game for the cause! Is tough admit, I dont want RC to die.
strykr93 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 im with plokoon on this one. i would cheese out if RC died

trooper 57 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I'm with PloKoon as well I do not want it to die as it was the only Star Wars first person shooter to my knowledge didn't include a lightsaber as a choice of weapon.

But Republic Commando has pretty much no choice in it - it's completely linear, and it get's pretty repetitive in the end. trooper 57 said: I'm with PloKoon as well I do not want it to die as it was the only Star Wars first person shooter to my knowledge didn't include a lightsaber as a choice of weapon. Dark Forces I.
trooper 57 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Oh I haven't completed that so I didn't know.
LordOfTheFish Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I'm pretty sure you start off with a gun.
