Achilles Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Err...force powers and lightsabers? If you want to put him in something upgradable that doesn't restrict force powers, hang on to the miner uniform after leaving Peragus. It's not much, but he can wear it.
AnakinSolaris Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I never bother upgrading Bao-Dur, I just leave him as a technician, it allows him to craft really useful item upgrades at the workbench.

They sure as heck help, and without them, many a time, people'd be - for lack of a better word - screwed. Just because he cant wear robes, doesn't mean he can't be a (darn) good Jedi.

Jae Onasi Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 My hubby likes to keep him as a tech, I like to turn him to a Jedi since he's a guardian, and while he can't do much armor-wise, he still can do some decent damage in a fight. Not to mention 'Force Jump' looks cool.... I may wait to make him a Jedi next time to allow him to get more skill points so that I can have a good mix of both.

However, once T7 made these goggles, I now like my Bao-Dur as a Tech/Ranged fighter...(still wearing the armor I made for him.. hehehe) It's amazing how a mod can make all the difference in the world. Bao is much more effective now

He is the last character I want to see playing any useful role in Canon kotor.Yes, even if femme Exile becomes canon I wish they use Handmaiden instead.

Yeah, I always thought Disciple would make a better Guardian than Consular and Bao-Dur a better Consular than Guardian.
Achilles Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I'm still perplexed as to why they made Disciple a soldier as his starting class. He's clearly a tech specialist. Maybe they didn't want to extend the choice between HM and Disciple to include a trade off in classes, but still... So anyway, I modded B-D and Disciple to both be Specialist/Consulars.
BattleDog Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I don't know, while I think Bao-dur doesn't make sense gameplay wise as a Guardian its definately the right class for his character. He's a direct action type of guy, not the sort of chap who sits in a grove and meditates on the mystery of why men have nipples.
