501st Trooper Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Omeewans_Jedi_Skin_Pack_V1;59791x#866772 ITS THERE FINALLY !!
omeewan Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 Alright, sweet. Now I want to read the review but I am firewalled here at work for another 3+ hours!
omeewan Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 Awww I still want that Ep3 Obi Wan D: no worries, I'll e-mail it to you.
RedFive77 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I just wanted to say that I think that your reskins are very well done and I'm definitely a fan of the tunics especially. It's really helped the look of the models as for understandable reasons given that it was the base texture, it's helps the Jedi have a greater continuity in skins.
omeewan Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 Welcome to the boards! And thank you I also think that using one robe/tunic texture as a base definately helps out as far as consistency and continuity goes. and 501st I'll e-mail it to you too.
omeewan Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 Wow, the screenshots they posted don't look that great...
RedFive77 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I have to agree that they look a lot worse in their screens than they looked in game.
omeewan Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Omeewan can you also send me the 501st pack? I can send you the Obi-Wan but not the 501st yet. The 501st is still in the works but i should be finishing it up soon. I have to get an approval from Zappa before I release it because the model is V3 and it hasn't been released yet. And yes Buffy! Finally! Datalord's a nice guy.
Pahricida Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I think I will finish the DC-15 now gimme maybe 2 hours and you'll have it in your mailbox.
Buffy Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I think I will finish the DC-15 now gimme maybe 2 hours and you'll have it in your mailbox. I want to let have them my Omee's NPC so ..
Pahricida Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 You can have it after it's skinned. Doesn't make much sense using a rainbow colored model, does it?
omeewan Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Sweet! I'll check it as soon as I get home. Buffy, I think that this is going to be a nice dowload if we can put together a nice NPC pack with the dc-15 that Pahri is making! There is also Cuillere's Turbo Tank coming out soon, which I will hopefully be skinning a variant of as well. (501st of course)
Buffy Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I will make nice single & Duel pistol 2 version NPC then ...
Pahricida Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 crap... took me longer than I thought and it's not UVW Unwrapped yet.
omeewan Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 To quote Neo- "Woah..." Looks awesome, take your time.
Tinny Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Wow, you guys have done some impressive work . However, I have a dumb question, what program do you guys use to model weapons? And even characters? I'm trying to learn using MilkShape, not sure if its a good idea or not.
RedFive77 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 From what little experience I've had with it(never released anything as weighting wasn't my forte) for the player models I'd use 3DS Max as that's where you'll weight it when it's done anyways however you can do the models in Milkshape and then weight them in 3DS Max. For weapons if I remember correctly Milkshape is fine.
RedFive77 Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 It's when you attatch the model to the games skeleton
Zappa_0 Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Im gonna try to get alex's and other skins in the V3 model set and maybe have it ready in a few weeks.
Selek Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 no worries, I'll e-mail it to you. oooh <3 thx Will you send it soon? I didn't got an email yet thx anyway EDIT: A friend mine woulds like to know if you think about doing a new quinlan Vos with your texture skillz?
