PS3 delayed until November

SOny have delayed the PS3 release until "early november" and said it will be a Worldwide release, like the xbox360.

Apparently it will have a 60gb hard drive with linux preinstalled and will play all PS1 and PS2 games in Hi-Def.

Supposedly its problems with the blueray copy protection that are causing the delays... i hope the money the copy protection saves them is worth the moneyt he delay might cost them.

Also some info about the (free for now) online system, developed by the everquest lot and gamespy. And info on new PSP stuff.

Most interesting on that front

Interestingly, Kutaragi also discussed an "E-Distribution" strategy for the PSP which will include downloading classic PS1 games to a PSP's Memory Stick. Users will be able to boot games directly off of the Memory Stick and the games will play under emulation.

[note] thats what i've been saying nintendo should do with the gameboy/ds for ages... :p [/note]

Linux? My God that's pretty cool. We can just call it a computer now. :\

I don't really know if it's bad to call it a computer or not... but eh... big change.... I- uhhh....

Weird and kinda cool and kinda dumb all at once. >_>

It's probably best that they have a late release, better to release it late than early, which it seems XBox did as there were a ton of bugs, though there might be on PS3 when it's released even though the release date was pushed back, I've never had a console straight at release.
