Episode VI

Episode V

Episode III

Episode IV

Episode II

Episode I

I generally liked Episode II but the sentemental bull**** turned me off, many people complain that a movie like "Top Gun" was good except for a bland love story, Episode II was good except for the nausiating love **** that got in the way.

It is obvious without even checking birthdays, none of you guys were even born when the OT came out. For us old farts who remember when Star Wars (and, yes, it will always be "Star Wars", not "Episode IV", and not "A New Hope") came out in 1977, we will never forget how groundbreaking it was. There was nothing like it before. Many of the things people take for granted in movies today were brand new in Star Wars. There were no special effects studios before Star Wars. Orchestral soundtracks were dead before Star Wars (What other orchestral movie score can you think of that reached #1 on the album charts?). People were standing in line for tickets 10 months after it was released. If you weren't there, you just have no idea how much Star Wars dominated popular culture in 1977.

Are the newer movies more polished and refined? Yes. Do they have better special effects? Yes. Are they light years ahead of anything else that's out today like the original was? Not even close.

That being said, here's my list:

Star Wars

Attack of the Clones

Revenge of the Sith

The Empire Strikes Back

Return of the Jedi

The Phantom Menace

My dad graduated High School in 1978 so the yearbook was pretty much packed with references to STAR Wars. not to mention a picture of a kid in a Klan outfit (you sure the hell can't have that anymore).

Someday I'll sit down amd watch them straight though

VI (for so many great moments)

III (for the second half)

V (for the Bespin fight scenes and introducing Yoda)

IV (for the great intro to the SW universe)

I (for Ewan, Liam, and Ray Park)

II (for not doing anything cool besides the clone troopers)
