LucasArts Announces Next-Gen Star Wars Game!

Im guessing it's that Vader game. Personally i prefer games about characters that are not in the films. Games based directly on the films tend to be extremely tacky.

Yes, this stuff looks really exciting! IMO these enhancements are a must-have for the next KotOR.

 

Check out the "LucasArts Is Revolutionizing Next Generation" Quicktime video posted at http://www.lucasarts.com/jobs/ to see the Euphoria engine and digitial molecular matter in action. It's a pretty long rah-rah recruitment video and you don't get to see the new technology pictured until the final third of the movie.

The description of how realistic this could look was very cool.

 

I was amused at the thought of throwing an R2 unit at a Carbonitized Jar-Jar and having it dent.

The applications could be limitless. It seems they went in a direction that will allow for some great creativity. I'm not sure how this will work in terms of KotOR, but I'm impatiently waiting to see how these additions will manifest themselves.

I just hope the game's story and appeal is worthy of such drastically changed physical adjustments.

Well, there are lots of Jedi and there are stormtroopers. Which probably means (Unfortunately) that it is a new Jedi Knight/Darth Vader game. It is a shame that it isn't KotOR III but at least this shows us that LucasArts' shake up a while back has made them less moderately evil (The arrangement there was intentional...)

I don't know if I'm seeing things or if it's just wishful thinking but about two minutes before the end of that clip, when they mention working on "two new games..." when he mentions a "Star Wars game" the monitor on the right-hand side "looks" like a picture of Revan in mask.

 

Or maybe it's Palpatine.

I am actually looking forward to something new. I hope Lucas decides to create a KotOR style game out of the events that occur before Episode I.

 

I think it would be cool to see a new RPG, which you train under a nonesential Jedi Master, and you can bump into several of the cast members along your journey. Courasant could tie into this concept easly.

I would like it to be the next KotOR too but I think it's most likely that unannounced Star Wars game that will involve Darth Vader.

I think the two new games mentioned are the Indiana Jones game and the unannounced Star Wars game that will involve Darth Vader.
