Diego Varen
Have you ever looked after someone else's Pet(s), while their on Holiday? I have. At the moment, I'm looking after a dog, so that is why I might not be on for a while. The only problem is that I will be looking after the dog for the rest of my Summer Holiday. Oh well. Discuss. HerbieZ
I looked after my gerbil for two years. He watched me for two years play star wars galaxies which i loved, when he died i thought thats it. No more galaxies. He was my galaxies buddy and watched over me in real life and i will never forget the little begger. I loved him dearly and as much i dispised his constant scratching on the cage, i know that he watched me play games and he often wondered why i did this and what the games were. But he watched roam through these digital lands and sometimes i cleaned him out and placed him in full view of the monitor so he could see wherei was in the game. He loved me so much and he loved how i played galaxies. All the things he saw, he saw two years of fun and happyness because of me ane il never forget him i never will for as long as i live cos hes my little gerbil, possibly the only one i will ever have and he will stay with me for life. MachineCult
Rofl, Jesus Christ, HerbieZ. I wouldn't get another gerbil if I were you, it's death may push you over the edge.
Raven_Onasi
I use to look after my neighbors pet. She had the cutest little wiener dog. . .his name was Jessie. Then there was the time, her cat (Fankie) got out of the house while she was gone, and I couldn't catch the stupid thing, god, that was not a fun summer. Samnmax221
I'm not allowed to watch anyone elses pets or family members anymore, people have to learn to accept that sometimes a babie's head just vanishes.
milo
I watched my next-door neighbor's dog while they went on vacation one time. It liked to eat it's own crap. It ran away shortly after they came back. And on the topic of gerbils, I just have to say that putting six or so of the little critters all in the same hamster ball is great fun. Fealiks
I (me and my family) looked after my Grandad's dog after he died. Just when we got really attatched to the dog, he died too. Very sad times. The dog was about 13 years old, so he was older than me. HerbieZ, that's a really sad story. When you die, maybe you will be re-united with your Galaxies hamster and play SWG with him once again.

REDJOHNNYMIKE
@SnM, Well played:D Had pets over the years, never watched any for someone else. They would've ended up in wierd experiments so it's probably for the best:)
The Scriblerian
Very Interesting topic... Yes i have done it before, and it's very annoying. I prefer them coming to your house, and then watching them. The only problems are... 1. they may get to close and start humping you 2.they may not be house trained 3. they smell. Dagobahn Eagle
We have our own dog and cat now, but before that, we baby-sat all the dogs we could baby-sit. Good times.
Ztalker
Some years back, I worked in a pet-hotel (if that's an english word). All the people that went on holiday dropped their pet their, so... I've done that job for two years...so in theory...I've taken care of +/- 800 dogs in that time. The job sucked though...low-payed, and the constant insults of the boss weren't very stimulating too. Then again...my list of 'low-life' jobs was completed this way...

Diego Varen
What happened to your title, "The Internet Junkie" I changed it a while ago. Besides I always wanted an Only Fools and Horses Avatar. Anyway some of those stories are quite sad. Like Herbiez and Fealiks'.
Mav
"looked after" my neighbors' cat once, more like I ran a series of experiments on the whole, "cats always land on their feet theory," in my defense I was 12, and my results were inconclusive, wasn't able to run the proper tests, when my dog brought the cat back in it's jaws…
Jeff
hehe, this thread reminds me of the episode of Seinfeld where Jerry has to look over that old guys dog. "Shutup Farful!"
