Mace MacLeod
-Nickelback-HeroMinor quibble: that wasn't Nickelback per se, it was the lead singer/guitar player Chad Kroeger singing a duet with Josey Scott, lead singer/guitar player of Saliva. Of course, as anyone who hasn't been under a rock will know, this was recorded and released on the Spider Man II soundtrack, not a Nickelback CD. Also in the video was the singer for Theory of a Deadman, which Chad Kroeger produced and signed to his record label, 604 records. So many good songs out there, I couldn't possibly list them all. My personal favourites are probably songs I wrote and played myself in various bands, so unless you were a big fan of Vancouver nightclubs in the early-mid 90's, you've never heard them. Mace MacLeod
^^^Yeah, go for it. Interesting post-script to the "Hero" song: I think it was on the Howard Stern show (I could be wrong) where they got the American Idol judges in for an impromptu audition featuring some hopefuls from the show, and one of the contestants actually was Josey Scott singing Hero. Apparently, the judges pooh-poohed him as being too "old and ordinary", and didn't rate him as being worth much. Then, after all the people had done their thing, the judges were informed that Josey Scott was actually the 2nd singer on the massive hit "Hero" and the leader of fully signed and (moderately) successful band Saliva, they all backpedalled frantically and lauded his musical talent. American Idol. Go figure.

Cygnus Q'ol
This is a difficult thread for me since my musical tastes run to the eclectic. It would actually really depend on how I am feeling at the time, and that changes constantly. Lately, I've been rehashing the U2 spectrum and I'm currently stuck in the Joshua Tree. I'll climb down soon and it'll be something else. Yesterday, Marley, Jimmy Cliff and Black Uhuru were heard comming from my house. ...last week it was Evanecence.
